Nice. But if we want to track activities of previous connections? Should we convert it to an account/personal account with prospect picklist value? And for our future (marketing campaigns and so on), just ignore all accounts/pers.acc with the prospect value? But it'll save all connections with that record. Because if we concert it to Junk Lead, and the person contact again, we'll lose previose activities.
@HireSalesforceDEV3 жыл бұрын
Or any pros/cons of my ideology? PS: I'm converting to Junk only SPAM, wrong number things. Like I'm 100% know right now or in the future they'll not buy anything from me

Hey there. Good questions. The bar for qualification or disqualification varies between companies. It makes sense for some organizations to be very strict and only disqualify leads with bad data. For other organizations, it makes sense to disqualify anyone that isn't going to be a good fit in the near future. The data and activities related to that now disqualified lead are still there. If ever they decide to revisit a disqualified lead and convert them, all that history will stay with the record and flow through to the new contact or person account. Is that helpful?

Great video! One question: when your company is primarily focused on selling products directly to clients who are not part of a company/organisation, would you still file those customers as a part of an account and create contacts for them there?
@Rotive3 жыл бұрын
Good question. Sounds like you have aspects of a B2C business. There are two good ways to handle this. One is to use Person Accounts. If you have Professional Edition or higher, you can have Salesforce support enable person accounts. It essentially combines an Account and Contact record together. The other option is to treat the Account like a household. You could have Brany Household as the Account and then you and a partner or siblings etc. as Contacts in that Account.

great video. is salesforce a good tool for a small retail business. most of my contacts are retail customers so I'm confused when it comes to what account to attach if any? thanks
@Rotive2 жыл бұрын
Hey there, Good question! You can absolutely use Salesforce for retail(business to consumer) processes. There are two good options for setting this up: First, you can use Person Accounts to combine the contact and account together so there is just one record for a person. You can then put opportunities under that person. You'll need to have Salesforce support turn this feature on for you. The second option is to use Accounts as households. If you often work with families or multiple customers that are somehow related to each other, this is a good choice. Call the account Smith Household, for example, and include the members of that household as contacts underneath it.

I'm not sure what you mean. Are you using the Financial Services Cloud? It's possible your Salesforce org has custom names for standard objects and/or custom objects.

i cant see those option in my account like opportunities, leads ,task, files ,account contact ,compaigns , dashboard, report ,chatter , group and more option i only can see i only can see app launcher icon, setup , home and object manager so what can i do to see those options so help
@Rotive2 жыл бұрын
Hi Mayur, it sounds like you have the wrong license. Your user probably is using an Identity License instead of a Salesforce License. Identity licenses have very limited functionality. Go into Setup and search for your user record and check your license.
@mayurdahate61972 жыл бұрын
@@Rotive if that is then what can I do to and please just guide me how to resolve that
@Rotive2 жыл бұрын
Click on the Setup gear in the upper right. Then click on the Users menu (on the left). Click on User menu item. From here, find your user record and click on your name. Now look in the upper right. It will say License. You may see Salesforce, Customer Community User, Platform User, Identity User, etc. To get access to Salesforce main feature set (including opportunities, leads, etc), you’ll need the Salesforce License. Edit your record to change your license. If Salesforce is not an option, you’ll have to contact Salesforce to purchase additional licenses or deactivate old users to free up a license. Here is a video that should help: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mYurl618h9eCmJI

Can you have contacts with no accounts??
@Rotive2 жыл бұрын
Hi MIG Group, It is possible to have contacts without accounts. These are essentially orphaned contacts and they are only visible to the contact owner and admins. It's not a good practice to have a lot of these. If you're working in a B2C situation where the individual people are the customers and not their organization, I'd recommend using Person Accounts. That essentially combines the contact and account records so you don't have to maintain two different records.
