Be sure to listen to Dave's last-second consideration regarding field types that he added at 10:44 after signing off. He states that you SHOULD consider reflecting the field type in your report as currency or date for the custom object field type (and not simply using text for everything). This will allow you more flexibility when grouping fields.

I don't see how the folder you created was ever integrated in to this solution.

The report that was created should have been saved in that snapshot folder, although in the video it was saved under private reports (this was an oversight on the instructor's part).
