It’s not he won’t, he was waiting for this to be resolved before hearing both sides on any sanctions they want to pursue. Yes it seems he is doing very little but stop and look how he has explored everything enough to protect the verdict so it doesn’t get overturned on appeal and Maya doesn’t have to go through it all again instead of moving on with her life. I respect him for that as it would have been easy to be popular and throw punishments out, tear the lawyers a new one many times and on appeal they get new trial and years from now Maya and family may finally get this done and behind them.

@@jfraserfisherI disagree. He can protect Maya from an appeal and still uphold his duties as a judge. Because letting them get away with this bullshite undermines the judicial system. It makes his position meaningless. Judge’s orders won’t be jack crap to any lawyer who paid attention to this trial. Clearly the defense already thought they could do shady things and get away with them….judge has repeatedly told them “yup, that’s right. Just ignore me, you do you.” They literally ignored his order about the IJ report, lIED to the judge in open court claiming they DID hand it over, and when reminded of that by plaintiffs he basically said, “meh, what’s it matter now.” I respect what he’s done to protect against appeal, but imo, letting defense do whatever the heck they want, including endangering the lives of a juror member, is doing the exact opposite of protecting Maya from appeal. Not to mention making a mockery of his position, his court, and courts all over the US.

As a retired woman, I can't imagine ever wanting to serve on a jury knowing that this kind of thing could happen. That Juror no. 1 has had to hire an attorney to protect his interests, and his wife has probably had to do the same, is too much to ask of a member of a jury. Can you imagine the cost, the worry, hell, just the ulcers involved in having a Company like JHACH coming after you simply because they lost a case? I wonder if they have a Go Fund me to help with legal fees. They are probably are too scared to even do that. If I were a lawyer I would sue JHach for them and Ms Salisbury.

They are desperate to have a new trial because they can't accept reality, which is they lost this trial fair and square, for many legitimate reasons period! And to me, this kind of behaviour on the part of the defense, as representatives of this institution, further proves what a dysfunctional institution JHACH was at the time, and for that matter, may well still be. Additionally i believe sanctions are in order. Who would want to be a juror after this debacle?!

I have never even had a library fine, but when I see the news and hear about cases like this, I get stressed out. I asked this elsewhere too Question(s): how much information has popped up since the Juror #1's name was made public? Would this info still be unknown had that doxxing never happened? Would this type of stuff be considered similar to finding evidence without a search warrant? Just thinking about all jurors that have ever served ever - do we get to go review all their info again or only those who are doxxed and are available for the public to dig into? Finally, just need to reconfirm who did the doxxing again?

In my opinion, I believe that Shapiro purposely filed a misrepresentation. This is something that JHAC has continually done throughout the trial. They cherry picked & hid things, like when JHAC as a whole lied about the hospital heart center being the whole part of the hospital that was in danger of being shut down.
