The main pack is about 2.5kg which is at least half a kilo more than most other premium packs of this kind. I think it could be more of an issue for flying (when you have limited weight allowance) than for overland travel

I have been looking at the Salkan Backpack for a few days and it looks really nice but I keep wondering about connecting a rolled up mattress to the bottom like the other big packs on the market. How do you attach external gear?

More detail on the laptop compartment is it sewn so the laptop doesn;t bottom out? where is it? Details help.

Hi! Did you both carry on the both bags or you check in the main backpack and carry on the daypack bag? Because this is one of the two bags that I'm planning to buy on my a month trip to EU this summer. This or Osprey farpoint 40L. Thank you.

Hey! I had to check in the bain bag as it was too big for carry-on. If you want carry-on only then FP40 may be a better choice

Salkan backpacks come in 3 sizes and I believe the smaller 2 are carry-on sized. You might want to double check that if ordering

Was interesed until i saw the dimensions. Neither bag fits the necessary carry-on/personal item sizes, at least in Europe.
