@@wes788411 Corporal punishment was used in our school for bad behavior in the sixties and seventies. High school boys would drive their pickups to school with rifles in their gunracks. I don't recall ever hearing about some kid coming to class to shoot someone because they were offended by what someone said to or about him or her. Discipline begins at home. I would never have even considered talking back to my parents or to any adult for that matter. And yes, I was not a normal behaved child and I got spanked several times with that custom paddle, but it got to the point where I got tired of being hit on the ass and I changed my ways.

God said that He did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but that through Him, the world might be saved. He was God in the flesh but did not go around condemning people. He is Love! He also told us that we should obey the laws of the land. He tells us to love the Lord our God with all our strength and mind and to love our neighbor as our self. Actually The tells us that is the GREATEST COMANDMENT of all and all the other comandments hang or hinge on that one commandment. God love and help them to see the TRUTH of Gods Word! And not use it a a defense and a tool against others. I beleive the devil uses people behaving this way to falsely represent Christ with the intention of turning people away and rejecting the true Christ after seeing so called Christian's behaving like thiese people.

I have relatives in the east who subscribe to the hellfire and damnation doctrines (girls don't wear pants, men taught to street preach, everyone's going to hell, blah blah blah). I have long held the belief that this is a fatal offshoot of Calvinism (the belief in a pre-selected, elite group pre-destined for salvation) that doesn't preach the true gospel, but just pretty much that everyone else is screwed.
