Hi Sally! I hope you see this! I decided to start training for a half marathon in September (couch to half marathon, the only “long distance” running I had ever done in my life was a 5k that I did when I was in 5th grade) and I’m using the Nike Run Club app and you happened to be a coach for one of my runs! I remember you talking about how you do ultra marathons and I was like “wow how does she do it. I’m doing a speed run that’ll end up being less than 3 miles at the ends and I am feeling WHOOPED” and it made me feel as though I was falling behind in the training because I was so many weeks in and I still found some of my 3-4 mile runs difficult. But then I found your channel and started watching all your ultra marathons and it opened my eyes that everyone is going to struggle. Everyone will feel behind at time. Everyone will get leg pain during a run. Everyone will need to stop to walk for a little before starting again. Everyone has off days. But there is no reason to back down just because of that. I remember you said “you only have to run at mile pace for 30 seconds. Since I do ultra marathons a mile is so easy!” And I was like “well not for me” but looking back at it, it was! It really was! Because it is easy for ANYONE as long as you have the right mindset. It took me so long to realize that I don’t have to be the BEST at it, I just have to get it done. And that is okay. Watching your videos and seeing you struggle has genuinely helped me so much to learn that when I struggle, that is human nature. And now, I can run 10 miles with ease :)

I'm a cyclist, I have watched a tons of ultra cycling videos and films, there's one time I was thinking "if people do the distance by running, that will be totally insane!", the prophet KZbin probably heard my thoughts, then I stumbled upon this video. It's really nuts mindblown🤯 I'm amazed by how well articulated you're to express those complex feelings and thoughts you had during the race, it made the storytelling so so so much better, especially to those audience like me who knows nothing about running, able to have a glimpse on what was happening. Truly amazing!
