I am glad she talked about how nobody would dress her because she was unknown and she didn't have jewelry so she drew butterflies on herself. Many actresses would never admit that on camera. They only do that for white girls, that´s a fact no matter how much somebody will deny it. They take women like Sienna Miller, Kate Moss, Gwyneth Paltrow or Jennifer Aniston and HYPE them up like crazy! Kate Moss who never even had a proper catwalk (oh come on! Look at Yasmin Ghauri, Naomi and Tyra...THOSE are walks!) and looks like a basic British woman. Gwyneth...enough said, I don´t wanna be mean. Sienna, who had only worked in one movie but was all over fashion media for a decade. Lastly, Aniston who honestly...I just can´t even understand why. It´s not about putting other women down, but just an honest observation of how they deliberately play down GORGEOUS, classic, world-over appealing women like Salma. It´s deliberate, it´s calculated and completely see-through. And when or if there happens to be 2 great black or brown celebrities, like Naomi and Tyra, they try to make them fight and make it seem like there´s no room for more than one black girl.

Salma chose to keep it. I expect it was because she never wanted to hide her culture, but celebrate it and put it at the fore. My mother grew up speaking Spanish - it was her first language - and taught English as a second language and grammar school in both languages. She had zero accent. People had no idea she was bilingual until she chose to let them know. So I know people can shake an accent if they really want to. I'm glad that Salma didnt lose hers.

Salma started all the trends, she was one of the first bombshells I remember seeing in my lifetime, I would absolute credit her with such a term as to me it refers to someone who is so beautiful in essence and body they make you gasp - that is her. Her and Lauren Bacall are my all times.
