Good times for the first salmon fishing adventure out of my own boat for 2021. Fished Monday evening and Tuesday morning June 14 & 15th We did get some good insight from my fishing buddy Captain Cody from Blackout outdoors who fished the same area Monday morning. Yeah normally I do but Wally likes to drive without it so I kept it in for most of this adventure.

Nice video. I was out of Port Washington last week with a charter and we got 2 steelhead and 2 lake trout. The captain said it had been slow as of late, so maybe all the fish moved north!

Great Video Nick! I have been fishing Lake Ontario for many years and have never seen that Dipsey set up so you can just remove it like that, that’s great can you explain that set up? Love the SW set up! Ingenious! Is your loop for the SW dipsey just an overhand loop?

Yes but i spice in 30lb mono in-between the braid and 20# leader. The overhand loop is a double (goes through twice). I'll post a new updated video soon.

Great video as always. Do you have a link to the regulations in regards to cleaning fish on the water. I don't have a large cooler and cleaning them on the water would be a lot easier for me.

It's not in the regs. It's an unwritten rule that's its ok but you are taking a chance at getting a littering ticket.

Great job guys! Hey Nick, a question on your SW rigger. Is it two color LC with 50' leader? and how deep do you send it? Your SW dipsey was a game changer for me last year , and can't thank you enough.

I just did two loop knots in the wire and attached a small swivel to the end loop. I attached the S clip in the first loop. I'll add this to my update video.

Tackle and bait shops along the lake usually carry strips and whole. I've purchased some from Accurate Marine in Kewaunee and Howie's Tackle shop in Sturgeon Bay
