I think that most rivers in Europe are struggling Tommy. and the politicians that have the power to help think that its an elitist sport so won't do anything to help

The SNP don’t seem to realise how much salmon and sea trout add to the economy, no fish,no fisherman, no ghillie, no accommodation being taken up. I was on the Tweed last week and the ghillie is worried about his job.

You are right Richard The Scottish government have always looked at it as an elitist sport. The new leader John Swinney I believe is an angler and hopefully he will understand the revenue that will be lost if there isn't something done to help improve the water quality and fish stocks Cheers Iain 🥃

There was a lot of problems with seals in early May and the bottom beats suffered quite badly from a lack of resident fish Cheers Iain. 🥃

Fame at last! I am who Eric refers to as Bentley Dave. There’s a time and a place for the tiger tail; I’m just not sure when that is 😂 Also my father had two pairs of those lemon coloured vision wading boots, and the sole just totally came away on about the third time of wearing them.

Looks another lovely vit of water to fish. Can be daunting sometimes the bigger rivers especially as there doesn't seem to be as many fish about. I almost hook a swan in my next video out on Sunday 😂. Didn't realise how close I was to it until I watched it back oops.

Swans don't like to be hooked. they do a lot of flapping about. the worst I have hooked was a big bull seal and they don't like that either Tight Lines. Cheers Iain 🥃

@IainSB that would have given you some fight. Could do with hooking a few more seals to put them off chasing the salmon up the rivers. Been one about 9 miles upstream at the dam before the season started chasing fish about.

the temperatures rose and the water heated up quite quickly Simon and then the weather changed and has gone on the chilly side again and the water has cooled down a bit Cheers Iain 🥃
