Nice work guys! I fished there on Friday. One Tule below the railroad bridge. (Let go). And a keeper Chinook at the bottom of Davis Bar. Both on a Rotten Banana.

Great job David. Where are you launching to fish that airport stretch? Gleason is quite a ways from there. Thanks David, see you on the water!
@DavidPyle Жыл бұрын
Mark, we are launching at Gleason. You can go straight out to the middle and start trolling toward the I5 bridge. Work that area for a pass or two and if you're not seeing any fish caught, drop below I5. Troll down river until you get to the power lines (below the RR bridge). Rinse and repeat. If there's nothing going on, run down to Davis Bar and make a few passes.

Nice fishing I was there too but got nothing to show. Called it quits after 12. Idk why it wasn't our day. Lol

There are so many factors that add up to hooking/catching salmon. Lots of luck involved but control the factors that you can. I skunk just like everybody else. Tight lines.

When you say 36” leader is that from the front end of the leader by the flasher to the end of the last hook or to the nose of the superbait? Or, something else? Thanks for the help!
@DavidPyle Жыл бұрын
From the bearing swivel at the back of my flasher, I tie a 36 inch leader to the superbait or spinfish. This is my general setup. Just for your reference my bumper (mainline to flasher is 26 inches). Other people I know use 18 inch bumpers and some use up to 30 inches.

Seahawk is one of my favorites! What a great day. I noticed you moved the rods to different rod holders later in the day. Was there a specific reason?
@DavidPyle Жыл бұрын
I wanted the rods in front of me so I could watch the line angle.
