Excellent vid, what a spectacular river The Findhorn is, love how unkept and wild it is. Had a week in May on Darnaway Home beat a while ago, good sport in Sluie and above in the rock pools, landing up there proved a challenge!!

Thanks Ewan was lucky to fish when there were a few around. Seems to be more small pods of fish rather than a run of fish this year.

Thank you very much. I changed all my lines few years ago, they are all Gaelforce floating lines i use spey one the 13ft and integrated shooting heads on my 14 & 15ft rods, cant see past them to be honest.

They are great but not cheap and actually difficult to find these days. Tight lines !!

Beautiful video. Have fished the Forres AA water on a number of occasions whilst holidaying in Nairn during the summer months but never Altyre and beyond. The river just seems to become even more stunning as it flows through the private beats. Have managed to walk some of it to admire the views. Some lovely looking pools on Altyre and all of your fish appeared to be in really good condition? Keep up the good work and tight lines.

great video - much appreciated. Only feedback i can give is to keep the fish on the reel if you can as loose line can get snagged on your clothing and stuff. My immediate priority is to get the fish onto the reel and keep it there.

Great film David. What a day you had. I'm surprised at how clear the water looked when you did the underwater shots the Findhorn always has a peaty tinge to it. Never fished at Lethen looks a great beat to fish. They all looked in great condition as was the one I had off the association water.

Thanks Toby this is not Lethen though, Altyre is just a wee bit above the Forres water, Lethen is a good few miles further upstream. There was still bit of colour in the water but Gopro is great. On a clear river say like the Conon the foottage looks amazing. Tight lines !!

Well i always had Mackenzie rods before and these are my first Loop rods. Would say they the best i have had but not sure how they compare to your S1's.

Well its my first loop rod its light but powerful and the rod has a fantastic finish. I have the 13ft and 14ft both different but great to fish with very pleased with them.

On the 14ft using #9 integrated shooting head 523g. On the 13ft using the Gaelforce spey # 8/9 which is 54ft and 532g.

@@jjames2162 The rods are med\fast action which i like, the action i would say is more a progressive flex. Give the guys a shout at Twin Peakes they are really helpful. Yes this is the Z1 range.
