I love salmon and steelhead fishing I grew up fishing the great lakes and it's tributaries mostly lake Erie but I've had many trips to New York and Michigan for the salmon and trout runs got to stock up on spawn. Nice job on the salmon I think you need a little heavier line I would go with 12lb or 15lb fluorocarbon and a noodle rod helps fight the fish on light line. Great video good luck and stay safe.

Most of them stop eating when they return to freshwater and have no energy left for a return trip to the ocean after spawning.

You are allowed to keep a set limit. I’m more of a catch and release kind of person at the moment.
