I used to get something very close to these at a shop in Seattle. I ate them with soy sauce! The shop disappeared and I've been dreaming of those magical fish since 2005, and now I can finally have them again! Thanks!

The shop still exists, it's called Piroshky Piroshky. It's been owned and operated for decades by Olga Sagan. If you live in the Seattle area or nearby areas you can order them for pick up. I just picked up an order last month and still have some left in my freezer. Highly recommend supporting them! They're a regional treasure.

Those are more Ukrainian or Russian. Polish people don't make "Pierogi" like that. Those would be "bułki" not "Pierożki".

After you bake them you can keep them in cold temp or fridge in a plastic bag so they don't dry out.
