I love these boots! If you can afford the hefty price tag of these Salomon hiking boots, DO IT! With that being said, with this hefty price tag, you are getting a ton of awesome features! Waterproofing with Gore-Tex, amazing comfort with Ortholite, great traction and stability with Salomon's special outsole and much, much more.
These are very lightweight hiking boots, despite their size and appearance.

Speaking of Ultimate Survival Boots, these boots so far are very well within the top 3 choices for my survival boots. They offer protection, plenty of features, they are very comfortable for long walks, you can easily run in these boots, you can wear them without taking them off for however much you want, they are waterproof... I can go on and on. The only down side, is the price tag!
So, what do you guys think? Would you consider Salomon Quest 4D 3 GTX as your Ultimate Survival Boots? I definitely would! I definitely would consider these boots as my main hiking boots as well! Brother I enjoy your video’s and because of your reviews I’ve have brought over 4 pair of hiking boots , 1 trail runners the XA Forces GTX and one pair of keen work boots ,with in the past four months. Thanks but no thanks because my wife wants to kill me . Don’t worry I don’t care if she does. so got my Solomon GTX 3 today, thanks for suggesting size 12 because size 12 seems to be just right and doesn't seem too large from size 11 and toes seems to have just enough room to wriggle around and accomodate a thicker willen socks or multiple socks as needed. I feel if I had gone with my regular size 11 , it might have been a tight fit . I notice just one thing, the shoe appears to have a small lump in the location of foot arch. so when I wear the shoe the foot arch appears to rest on this lump ( both shoes) and because this lump in shoe below the foot arch is rigid - I feel a slight discomfort - is tjhs normal and is this lump designed to reduce stress on your foot arch ? any feedback from your end ?

Can i use this for daily wear or for normal walk ...not trail walking ...or for a backpacking trip not on the mountains ...kindly advice

Love your videos , quick question In my region Salomon doesn't not have online store , so I have to rely on an importer who doesn't have much choices. He has a Quest 4D GTX. ( New model) Shoe size UK 11 And This one Quest 4 d 3 GTX shoe size UK 12 And NO refund option. My normal shoe size is UK 11 ( 29.5cm) , do you think it would be better and safer for me to go with UK 12 instead of risking UK 11 for newer model ? I would use the shoe for long treks , backpacking and wearing it around town .

Daaang that's a tough one! I probably would go with the UK 12 option anyway, because I like the 4D 3 version better than the new one.
