In case you haven't figured it out yet or someone else has commented, the green bag icon was for crafting ranged ammunition. You hold down your interect button while in the field and can craft arrows from thr ore in your inventory. Not sure if it's the same with the channeling rods or not, but that's how it works for bows.

Pretty sure you can crit mages with your grapple when they are stunned, they have a glowing point on there heads.

hm i just noticed that. im going to try and see if that works. oh wow it does, i just did it on this boss and does a decent amount of damage. and you get a cool slow mo animation with it. good spot, now i know you can do this

It really does feel like that first armor should a be heavy armor set but was included as a light set to allow players at early levels to have an option with some poise that doesn’t weigh over 30 with the full set

Hey @fightincowboy - regarding armor choices, it doesn't seem like the poise on your robes is enough to hit any useful breakpoints. At least while watching I haven't seen you posting through attacks much. I'd just go with best defenses personally. Loving the series!

yeah turns out you can jump and grapple onto their heads for a really neat attack, does a decent amount of damage. comparable to spamming R1

This boss makes me hate this game. Like 0 out of 10 fun. The arenas are so small. He crosses the entire arena and one shots you. It's just so dumb. The first game was so much fun and then this. This game just sucks

People can defend this bullshit all they want but this game has a very poor reputation for a reason. The boss is terrible and the game is an extremely unbalanced mess.

@@FightinCowboy ladders for one. hitting up slightly on the joystick gets you stuck on a ladder especially during combat when you dont intend to climb it. a button prompt would be nice. thats really the only gripe i have with this game, and salt and sanctuary. and i guess putting mobs on top of ladders and small platforms is pretty bullshit as well leaving you being hit the moment you get to the top. like the dudes with the staff that launch those little balls that gives you that skull meter that insta kills you if it gets full after the exalted boss fight. just small things, but i dont see any major issues that guy is talking about.

Ladder campers are ranged bait. Took a while to learn but the ranges weapon for your class is your lifeline.
