In my experience Speedrunners make some of the best testers you can imagine, they're obsessed with your game and know it down to its bones, if you sat down with a couple speedrunners I'm, confident they could fill an hour just telling you about tiny glitches and little visual bugs they can recreate for you. Both QA and speedrunning have one thing they care about more than anything else: reproduceability.

@@pumpkinpatch1084 That's certainly true, after all, the glitches speedrunners look for don't literally brick the game, they just allow you to go faster, while QA is focused on things that break the game or negatively impact gameplay.

The problem with speedrunning aka rushing your way through a game, your going to miss 90% of the content, having patience and taking your time to 100%completion is the best way to enjoy these RPGs

I'm always amazed when a major developer has never seen a speedrun of their own game, or watches a speedrun for the first time 6 years after the release of the game. Meanwhile I'm over here watching speedrun explanations of pepsi games and obscure flash games from 15 years ago.
