Salt and Sanctuary: Overpowered in Half an Hour

Starting a new game as a level 1 Pauper class character, I obtain and achieve the following in half an hour:
Swordfighter Class 5, Shrouded Bulwark IV with Mossy Charm, Rogue's Jacket II, Rogue's Gloves II, Rogue's Highboots II, Wrapped Link, Kismet Stone, Brightcoral Ring, Fused Metal Ring, and much more.
It should be noted, I was using this video recording as a means of quality testing a new capture device and compression settings, so I may have to re-upload a HD version of this video.

Nice to see I wasn't the only one that thought of farming the Saltless xD. Except I stuck with the Kuraimoa for the Strength scaling. Nice vid, wondering what you can come up with for a dex side of this, like a Dagger with the poison covenant stuff using a similar Strat or something entirely different. It'd make my week to see you do a mini lp of the game, or at least until you feel like it is full build because I'd love to see what little tricks you know that I don't. Great vid mate, looking forward to more stuff.

On my main build I'm actually using daggers and greatswords, so working on a Dex build strategy isn't going to be too difficult from what I can tell so far. A little bit more planning on the skill tree and upgrade material side of things, and I should have something fairly solid for starting and overpowering a Dex build in the opening hour of a new game. I have also started posting updates for what I'm getting up to on my Twitter, so it could be worth following me on there if you want to find out ahead of time when I'm expecting to have certain videos uploaded.

Found a way to make this a bit quicker - if you go to the right out of the sanctuary while grinding the saltless, you can easily kill the guy upstairs in the building with parries. While running back to farm the saltless, if you kill the 3 guys downstairs, the drop locks of hair quite often. And that route is quicker than leaving through the lefthand door

need Sodden Knight's ashes and I think Amber doll? Go to alchemist, the 3rd sanctuary he visited with the greeny guy and you can transmute stronger weapons

When you transmute an upgraded item, it gets downgraded. III becomes II and so forth.

You should have killed the Unspeakable Deep. He gives 8k salts and that is a few fast levels.

I do the same thing, cept I take my time and get another character to start with the Amber Idol and transfer it. Usually takes me about twice as long though but still quick none the less.

OMG i died about 8-10 times on that fucking sodden knight before i finally beat him, and here he goes, throws 3 grenades and the bastard just burns to death... Thank you tho, i really like seeing tips and how-to:s (its also a bit fun to have the memories of being totally owned several times only to finally beat it. the feels :D )

wow nice! how long is this build "OP"? i mean at which boss do i maybe struggle because the build isnt op anymore if im not playing like a noob? how should i skill and upgrade further ? first playthrough stoped at 11 hours cuz of bad skilling and upgrading wrong i guess... dont wont to let it happen again... want that platinum... :( could you give me some advises?

Kraekan Wyrm could be a hit and miss for some, depending on RNG and skill level. The Tree of Men and The Third Lamb can pose a lot of problems if additional upgrades and level investment haven't been made. It still does the job for about half a dozen bosses though.

found a fire resistant ring somewhere, it helped. Also helped because i was so unbelievably tanky that i didnt even need pots

I do the same thing except i run a mage and and go black widow to get the magic scaling once i lvl black widow up to lvl 4 i buy the arcane enchantment and kill all bosses with like 6 hits or so

Whenever i try to talk to the alchemist to transmute the sword, he just says i have to join the woodswraiths and won't give the option to transmute. how come in your video he just lets you transmute straight off, even though you're in The Three ?

I suppose, you found him by now. But, there's a NPC who sells them, on your way to The Village of Smiles in the first set of caves you go into. Plus, if you drop a Stone Merchant at your Sanctuary, he sells them. Oh, also, on your way to The Village of Smiles ... You kill the beasts & the Knight, run down hill, kill the two guys, and then jump up the platform, there's some up there ...

pitch fire and shock stone are interchangeable and up to preference as they just grant elemental bonus damage fire and shock respectively whether or not shock or fire is better idk

Oleg Garvius I'm not 100 percent sure, but I think the three is the best early game, but later on you'll want the iron ones because they provide better things for melee oriented classes
