Thank you for doing these two songs! I’m tired of folks reacting to the same 2-3 SNP songs as if they didn’t have more hits. IMO, these two better showcase their skills. Shout out to the person who recommended this! There’s another hip hop legend in these two music videos (one of the police detectives), Dana Dane. You should check him out. They were all in a hip hop collective (SNP, Kid N Play, Kwame, etc)

Great 2 for 1. We dressed like this from the asymmetric hair cuts, door knocker earrings, stone washed ripped jeans & tees. I miss the carefree 80's. That's part of Go Go dancing from the DMV. One of my all-time favorites from Salt 'n Pepa. Cool to see you reacting to it and liking it. I remember when these videos came out. MTV made a(n), I think, 30 minute (don't think it was an hour) special on the making of the videos. Showing them in the dance studio rehearsing the choreography and showing them on set making shooting the video. You should take a listen to Dana Dane "This Be the Def Beat" and "Nightmares". Also "Cinderfella Dana Dane" and "Dana Dane with Fame" are good ones to listen to, too., but they do not have videos. He was also in the SnP videos that you watched. Antoinette "I Got an Attitude ' is a good one, too , but it doesn't have a video. Also, Sweet Tee "I Got Da Feelin'" and "It's Like that Y'all". Alsp, "On the Smooth" is a good one with a video. These would also be just audio. Other SnP videos to watch or songs to listen to are "Tramp" (v), "My Mic Sounds Nice" (a)/(live performance video), "Chick on the Side" (a), "Let the Rhythm Run" (a), "Twist and Shout" (v), "A Salt with a Deadly Pepa" (a) and "Expression" (v) just to name a few. SnP's "The Showstopper" is good too, but in order to fully understand it, you'd need to listen to "The Show by Slick Rick and Doug E Fresh first. You should watch more Kid N Play videos as well like "2 Hype", "Gittin Funky", and "Do this My Way".

When rappers made songs for the streets first & if you happened to crossover it wont on purpose it was because its a dope track that everyone would tell everyone about and then eventually radio djs picked up on!! So authentic back then. It was like everyone was battle rapping on the records against other lyricists. Like vocals used to be the standards first..lyricism was the satandard in the 80s and 90s
