Thank you for posting this. I was specifically looking at information about Salt Pond AND about the ferry...so this helped! My husband, brother and I are staying in St. Thomas for a week March 30-April 6.

We are glad we could help! Enjoy your trip! It really is amazing, and if you have the time we would recommend checking out Watermelon Cay as well in St John. We should have a video on that one soon :)

Thx for the video guys!! I just booked a family vacation to St. John and was wondering if Salt Pond Beach should be visited. I think you guys answered that. What were your favorite beaches on St. Thomas?
@JaychelAdventure3 жыл бұрын
It really depends on what you are looking for! Our overall favorite on St Thomas was probably Secret Harbor, but we also really liked Neltjeberg beach as an off-the-beaten-path beach, and Brewers Bay as an amazing place to see Sea Turtles. You can also never go wrong with Magens bay, it just doesn't have the best snorkeling. Hope you have a great time!

I was wondering what part of the pond did you snorkel to see soo much coral...the right side or the left side....because I know its taken a while for the reefs to recover....and! I believe that there is a reef about 300 to 400 yards straight out...did you get to that one??...thanks DEX

Hi Dexter!! We went out to on the left side then around and back more towards the middle/right side - that's where the big reef is!! 300-400 yards out sounds about right. It was a bit of a swim to get there, but well worth it!

Thank you for sharing! My fiance and I just came back from a week on St. John (Our sixth trip) but have never been to Salt Pond Bay. We are watching videos to reminisce about our trip and you've inspired us to make the effort to go there the next time. Question -- what are you using to take underwater videos?
@JaychelAdventure3 жыл бұрын
Hi Renee! Glad we could give you some ideas for next time! :) We used a GoPro hero 8 in this video for all of our underwater filming!

Nice footage! Just so you know, it’s “St. John” (Jason) with no “S”; I know it’s not a big deal, but as a fan of a Facebook group of “St. John”, it’s the first thing people do is correct you; St. John with an “s” is in Antigua. I say it with total respect and not to be an asshole! 😁. Just in case you go back; people say it with an “S” a lot, and the first thing they do is correct them. 😞 Looks like an amazing trip and you got very awesome video! I was there 19 years ago but not an experienced snorkeler then. Makes me want to try it again! Thanks!

Thanks for your comment Hannah! You are totally right that is my bad. I knew in my head it was St John but for some reason added the S haha. Thanks for the call-out, I will do better next time. I am glad you enjoyed the footage!😃
