Loved all your finishes! I pulled an all nighter looking at my wips and floss tube and Etsy and just as you started talking about Live on Little , I was pulling it out and mine is kitted but I’m deciding on my fabric. I hope you get it finished! At 69 and stitching alone, I enjoy laughing and smiling as I watch your videos. My two quilty/ stitchy friends are sadly both gone and I miss the camaraderie. Thank you and happy stitching!

Which reminds me, don't apologize even if you did show one of your pieces last time. I could look at your work every half hour! I love seeing all that you accomplish. Thank you for the heads up on the symbol mix-up on God Bless America. I have that one and got one for my sister, too. I'll have to check our copies to see if they are the early prints with the error. I'm so glad you're pulling out some WIPs to work on. It's so satisfying. Your work is oh so beautiful. Oh and congrats on the many FFOs. What a shame that that big beautiful tree was taken down by the tornado. It must have been quite old. You know my mom told great stories and before telling one she always asked me if she'd tole me before. I always answered that I was sure she had but to tell it again because my memory is so bad and that was the truth. I just love rehearing the old stories and my one regret is that I didn't record some for me and my children. Love you too Carol. Stay cool if possible. It's been super hot here in Québec but we're getting a storm which seems to be cooling things down.

I really like His Eye is on the Sparrow. Thank you as well as other FlossTube people who have mentioned about making the borders first to make sure it meets up! I started this piece in June. I worked on the green in the border first and made sure that it would meet up. Well the first time I was off by two I figured out where I made my mistake and the FROG came to visit and I had to take out one whole side. It is now meeting up. I am working on the leaves and flowers now and have half of them done. This is my largest piece that I have ever done and it means a lot to me. Thank you for sharing. I am trying to finish up American Welcome before the end of the July.

Thanks, Carol! Always love seeing what you are working on! Personally, I am already doing some fall, as I am hoping to finish a piece or two for this year. Am also working on some patriotic smalls that can stay out technically until after Labor Day. Great minds! We are on the same page! I finished 'Live on Little' last Fall and had some issues with the colors as you discussed. Now I see what some of the problem is. Thanks for that and heads up...my issue was more around the white that did not show up on my linen at all. The yellows in the sun were also problematic. Overall, though, it is a beautiful piece! Just need to find the right frame. Happy stitching and stay cool, my friend!

Yes, it’s hot, I’m in the south and it is summer and yes, I’ve stuck my head in the freezer, with the door open! That tree is huge. I won’t want to be without ac that long in Florida or anywhere else in the south. If stitchers are weird or some stitchers are weird I’m all in with the weird! Love your fully finishes, finish and WIPS. Enjoy whatever season you’re stitching. I’m a monogamous stitcher and was shocked to see I started my current stitch January 25th. It’s a big one and since I’m also a quilter, one day my husband looked over at the stitch I’m working on and asked if I was making a quilt instead of cross stitching. No telling what he’d think if I wasn’t working on 46 count. I’m getting “close” to the end and I’m starting to feel a bit sad because even though she’s 400+ by 400+ ( I Had a Father by Alice Clark 1844), I’ve found she’s now part of me. Granted I have other stitches that are small calling to me but I know when I finish her I’m going to be sad until I get a frame, frame her and get her on my wall. Just like quilting, I love every step along the way as each one brings me closer to actually seeing what the project is going to really look like when finished. Looking forward to Mr. Saltbox’s “wood tube”, hubby is going to be watching that with me.

Thank you so much! I have Alice Clark started and plan to stitch on her a bit more during Sampler September. She is definitely a big one!!! I understand getting a little sad when you finish I big sampler. I certainly relate!!!

A lovely visit. I must catch up on my ‘His Eye is on the Sparrow’ but have been stitching Annie Beez 12 days of Christmas stockings. Those bigger stitching pieces could be framed or flat fold’s, just an idea. Blessings and happy stitching.

I love those stockings!!! So cute! I think flat folds is a great idea!

Always enjoy your videos. It is hot here in Eastern NC too. My sister lives in Jacksonville FL too, she was a few blocks away from the tornado too. She is in Oak Park area, it sounds like y'all could be neighbors. Stay cool and keep on stitching!! ❤️🫶

Oh wow! I’m not familiar with that area though. I think there were multiple tornadoes that day.
