i hard agree! subsequent viewings make the ending twist fall apart even more honestly. it’d be a much better movie if it was just a campy flick about a sick little freak that got a little too gay about his friend. alas. also LOVE that you’re a fellow eternals truther!

Saltburn was…fun, but it solidified my opinion that I think Emerald Fennel is a great director but needs help in the writing department. I prefer Promising Young Woman but I still have issues with that film and, like Saltburn, it’s all in the script.

Your voice is so soft* and soothing. I could listen to you all day. About Saltburn, at 1st I was super excited about it bec. I thought, it would be an "answer" to Brideshead Revisited but hearing the reviews, I decided to pass. Im way too squeamish and I was hoping for a deeper commentary on class disparities.

I’m here for hater Bobbi 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ I was super excited for the movie when the cast was announced but the more I heard about Emerald Fennell’s handling of it the more apprehensive I was. That woman gives me bad vibes for some reason 😗 I never ended up watching it but I’ve heard so many people talk about it that I feel like I have 😂 and yeah, I do feel like it very much wanted to be Emerald’s venture in class commentary but because she has no experience being working class, and she didn’t really want to shit on her own class too much, it didn’t really work 😂

I still say that this movie tried to take from the Talented Mr Ripley's nachos and failed but i had a ton of fun regardless! who doesnt like to witness rich people's downfalls 🙂‍↕️ (Edit: OH, im just realising you mentioned it too LMFAOOOO)
