It's interesting to see how Felix thrives in the attention. Yes he could have walked his bike back, but I think he likes to feel powerful when he knows people are attracted to him and doing things for him. It's subtle, but we see parts of his personality there, or in the scene he's touring Oliver through the house. We only see his back, like he is flaunting his money. Being possessive with Oliver. He likes feeling wanted and just discarding people afterwards. The fact that he doesn't know the name of the people working in his house BUT IT'S NOT A BIG DEAAALLLLL. The whole family was in this weird vibe like seeing Oliver as the little poor boy experience.
@inaciasilva20245 ай бұрын
But Oliver wanted to be seen that way, he lied a lot just to make himself seem pitiful
@besupaaa5 ай бұрын
@@inaciasilva2024 and that's also interesting, right? So when Felix found out Oliver wasn't what he said, it broke Felix's power fantasy.

i always saw the house tour shot as symbolizing that oliver only had eyes for felix because even though the house was full of all these amazing things that felix was pointing out to him, oliver couldn't take his eyes off felix

Rosamund Pike, who played Felix's mother, actually got to stay in the Saltburn house during filming. And the shots really are incredible -- I hope you check out this director's debut film Promising Young Woman. One of my favourites and cinemamatography is also incredible. Maybe my favourite Mikelawz reaction to date honestly, that was so entertaining 🔥

This movie is beautifully shot, but it is ABSOLUTELY a more vulgar version of The Talented Mr. Ripley.
@lbougieАй бұрын
I don’t like The Talented Mr. Ripley which is more vulgar to me. It’s just more anger inducing, it has more violence and chaos which I let it slide, there were some discourses Tom brought, Greenleaf is really cold to his pregnant lover until her death before Marge. Saltburn has less violence and anger, but the vampiric scene and the grave scene destroyed my soul, there were more people who saw right through Oliver, it took place in 2006-2022, and the best part is the diversity or POC in this movie. One more thing, there is one hope that is out there someone who would take Oliver down once and for all when the new story from digital copies will be released soon.
