Barry is so good at playing someone who's hiding something and his commitment to this role is just on another level because not many would actually say yes to doing half the things he did in this film. In all its shininess and beauty, is also a sense of wickedness and repugnance. But god I'd like to thank Emerald Fennell for writing/directing that final scene of Barry which is truly one of my favorites this year.

I watched the movie yesterday, and I felt like Felix was actually jealous in this scene. When you see the ending of the movie and the monologue by ollie(Barry Keoghan), it changes the perspective of the entire film.

Four Words: It was a rewrite. I think they set off to do some gothic thing along the lines of "The Ruling Class" or "The Most Dangerous game" and they decided to do a rewriter mid production. IMHO it was a clumsy screenplay wrapped up in a beautiful cinematic package, but to quote the good book: moviegoer cannot live on scenery alone.

This was such a great movie! Everything was on point: acting, cinematography, costume design - everything! Since there weren't any theaters playing Saltburn nearby, my friend and I drove a good distance to a theater that was showing it and might I say, it was definitely worth the drive!

@@alexwest5258 It's not so much that it is "bad" but having seen TTMR for me at least there were some eyerolling moments because there were too many scenes that were obviously purloined from TTMR. and I highly suspect that the screenplay set off in once direction (to have it be like "The Ruling Class" or "The Most Dangerous Game" but they must have decided mid production to rewrite. It happens. This is only a theory, but the clumsy montage at the end really makes me wonder.
