Yeah But it'd be such a waste of resources to focus on performance on an alpha even if it is playable. @@Giliver I hate to be that guy, but the only reason they have made so much money over the years, is because we had a "playable game". If they were radio silent and didn't have a playable game, the game wouldn't be where it is now with all the funding it got. If they want to keep the money flowing and get new backers, they have to get their game to be playable, unlike what 3.24 is currently.

Not only that, these events ALWAYS result in extremely unstable server performance, even worse than the jank we're used to. The new players brought in by the cool marketing will immediately be met with an unplayable game experience and likely will never return.

Its literally just an attrition repeater in model by the looks of it that most likely will fire green lasers and maybe has a bit of rust and more loose wiring.

I gave it a go once everyday on the last week. I could not even get out of the hangar. IF I made it to there without a crash or slipping through the pixels somewhere on the way. It was fine on free flight mode....

So many people complain that it’s a combat mission, the majority of players like combat. Nearly Every ship in the game has guns and how exciting will a cargo mission chain be…. Not to mention the rewards are ship weapons..

I assume that if you attach the repeaters to your ship through mobiglass, they'd save and respawn every time you claim, and if they're a reward they'd be saved to LTP every time there's a patch. Don't know what he's saying they're uninsured.

thsi is the first event they have ever run that's made me interested because it's not just money grubbing stuff. I've taken a year break from SC since cit con 2023 waiting for proper gameplay but we shall see if things work out in this event. might hop into game.

Quick comment on the reward: It has to be good to make your time worth (considering the poor state of the servers). But it can't be TOO GOOD. Otherwise you are just locking future players (that join the game after this event) from any kind of meta. Have a good week, citizens!

I hope these guns aren't going to be for sale in the store. Maybe in future it'll be blueprints but for now it'll be the item linked to the account. I like the idea of blueprints but I won't be sold until I see how they implement it

i tried literally 5 times to complete any of those missions and either had quamtum bug or was waiting endlessly for more ships to spawn to kill and the mission never completed

I still have no idea what the missions will be about. During Overdrive there were guides up pretty much instantly about where to go, what to there and if you need a group or not. If someone could kindly point me in the right direction, that would be great!

What's crazy is that Pyro will come out, and they haven't finished Stanton yet. There's major locations like the Aron halo gates and the gameplay that comes with them which haven't been mentioned for four years.

@thorns I 100% agree. The gates were a very cool way to make cargo running more engaging while also providing practical and organic ways for piracy to occur. I sincerely hope that they do implement them at some point, but I'm afraid waisted time and money is the story of CIG at this point. They constantly try to reinvent the wheel and somehow end up making is square or oval. Allot of waisted money and time on development of features thar have, for the most part already been figured out by the rest of the industry by and large. Hopefully they will come back to this and add it.

Mmo players obsession with rewards over fun gameplay would be hilarious if it wouldn't be the reason why we are getting some crappy mobile farmville with guns as 1.0 because of that. "You'll be able to print Bengals and dominate others" and all the mmo players got their sandworms out of the sand! It's not fun. There is no player agency in those "narrative rich missions", It's all janky fps or box moving. Is it is narrative driven it should be like the old covalex - where are the investigation missions Elliot was doing? And if its systemic missions then the reward should be global narrative you participate in not some crappy repeaters or blueprints of repeaters
