Stop acting like cargo running missions is how you make money. The current cargo running implementation you can make millions of aUEC a day. My buddy made 7 million in 1 day the other day. Cargo running is the best money maker and still will be even after this update. Yeah the missions pay out little but then just dont do the missions lol

This year's been grim af lol. The fact they hit such a brick wall with 3.23.2 and have at this point lost an entire quarter to it is nuts. Hard to think they can deliver 4.0, or that things are gonna be different going forward, while looking at this. It was April 19 that Chad was last on one of these, telling us they were ready to release at a moment's notice. Here we are now, bogged down in evo, no ETA for live at all.

5:51 I am ALL for pirates being able to steal/rob/ransom/etc out in space or on a planet, but we do NOT need hangar pirating to be a thing... Maybe if we had more secure locations like actual habs or we could purchase a "vault" of sorts, but for now, players need a place to call their own where they are nearly completely safe. I like the mechanics as shown, don't put anything good right next to the elevators, and watch your surroundings when entering. Easy.

I don’t think pirates are able to access hangars that aren’t theirs or someone’s who is in the party. Like the button won’t even show up on the elevator. They either have to sneak into the elevator with you or do some social engineering to trick you into letting them in. Honestly feels fairly balanced to me, assuming thiefs will get a hefty crimestat for this.

the fact we can shoot in our hangars means we can literally set up our own shooting ranges which is super sick. We can literally turn our hangars into mini PVP arenas like a paintball course as long as everyone sets their spawn in URSA or something on the side.

ya..honestly the guy looks like he's about done. and that's fine tbh. but if I'm CIG and seeing Chad looking defeated and done like this, I'm either giving him a long vacation, a bonus, but probably BOTH. This is how you lose key employees, and CIG has lost a few already. The thing is, when you have someone in this state, they really start not to care about whatever it is they're trying to finish, it becomes a listless endeavor. The natural tendency of the way employers work though is to then push even harder on them to MAKE them care. To FORCE investment in the work. And that never works. This doesn't really matter in the end if it's some junior or newer employee. But when it's someone like Chad who's absolutely integral to the success of this game, you realllly gotta not do that and give the person room and time to re-energize.

If our hangers are not safe and cig basically just created a gathering location to force everyone into pvp encounters i will just live on my ship.

They said unwanted people will be kicked..don't know if that timer was accurate (probably not) but seems as soon as they are out the elevator and in your hangar then the timer starts to kick them, I'm sure though in CIG fashion the timer will be longer for no reason and you'll still get ganked by trolls and griefers.

For the hanger customisation they seriously need to look to other games for inspiration or straight up steal ideas, like display boxes from starfield or fallout would be great.

This is kinda the same way it was with SWG, you had a location that was yours and you could just throw everything around, BUT they had a storage system that you would access through terminals. And if you wanted to sell items you could enter the bazar terminals and post items to sell to the community. It worked the same with cities the player and guilds could create around the galaxy on the various planets.

I don't understand the fascination with the hangar/freight elevator patch. I've never looked at my inventory windows in any game and thought, "How can I complicate this more and make it take much longer than just double clicking all these items to move them?"

I'd love to be able to name or label the cargo container manually and lock it as well, maybe a decently high fee for pin-locked cargo containers where you can choose the pin in the inventory screen or something. Could allow for deceptive gameplay against pirates where they don't know where the good stuff is.

You can use a medbed as respawn, wear an armor kit and then backspace to create a "mannequin"... ;) with quick loot you can just click on stuf and swap it afterwards...

Sounds good with the new hangars and that i can store temp. cargo before i make the descision to sell it somewhere. But what i not understood in video, is there an change in trading ? How can i know how is the selling price at other locations and how is the demand there ? Still the same thing then now ? I have to go some where and then to see the price and that there is no demand :-(. Trading now is so inefficient and tedious. Today you can see in real life where the demand is and what the sales price is. In SC not. pff

things that hold components could be really good. aside from use as a display, mechanics have rotating engine stands that can make service and repair 100% easier. could make mounts to place loose components for FPS repair. may or may not actually be needed, but could be a immersion object of sorts.

I think a marketplace should be an option for certain commodities (so you choose that gameplay option from the start), with better pricing that has you waiting for the right time to sell in a short window & selling from mobiglass for a normal payout. It's just a rough idea but I think it's worth giving the player options for how they want to interact with the game.

If a hangar is losing an armistice zone rights, it's all nice and cool You can pull a gun and shoot intruder but... Doesn't that mean an intruder can shoot You back? And if that's the case 90% of cases people are going to get jumped and intruders will actually have the upper hand and element of surprise, which means even more griefing 😂

I'm excited for this update just for the mining. Now players starting out with a titan or a cutter can manage cargo from mining operations because they don't need to take the full cargo load all at once. the 12-15 boxes of good stuff refined can go to station inventory and then be loaded as needed into their craft. Sad reality... i might not have upgraded my package to th c1 spirit if this were an option in 3.23.

People will forget about these "hangars" the day after the patch is released. The only ones which could make some use of a "Personal" hangar" are (oh suprise!!!) Pirates in Grimhex and Pyro. As a trader you are always on the move and don't care about a home Base millions of Km for where you client is. This F***ing game is becoming "shoot everything pirate paradise, as Chris Roberts is finally taking his own revenge for when he was kicked out of Privateer development

Being able to merc uninvited people in hangers without getting a crime stat is the kind of update that actually improve the game. It's one of the very things they've done in the last year that actually feel like an upgrade rather then needless fluff.

You get assigned a separate instanced hangar that is not persistent the minute you leave said hangar. You will still have the smaller personal hangar for your other ships.

I would think hangers that are given out at random would conform to the style of the building your at. Like all hangers on stations would be the style of the station. I would assume it only matter when they add the buyable home locations. Then it would be whatever style comes with the building(if one didn’t come with your ship) or the style of the hanger that came with your ship.

Man, I don't want to be too negative but it's 1,5 years after PES and they are still in the process of figuring out a basic process like cargo loading in hangars. Is this future proof? Or will we consider this as a T0 implementation that has to get a gold standard five years down the line? Apparently no definitive plans for loading in space (Hull-C, other large ships when docked). I really appreciate all the additions and progress since the last CitizenCon, but I can't help it, at this pace I'm not really excited about the project anymore.

I like the idea of a marketplace on the mobiglass, but if you never need to leave your hangar then nobody ever will, and all the work they put into making cities will be pointless and just runs counter-intuitive to having a universe that feels lived in and real. I’d love the ease of use, but I really want that spot where everyone just chills at. Maybe the player market board would be based in the mobiglass (obviously in the future with crafting and everything)? I would absolutely hate having to go make an in person deal to trade in player made items, and even EVE’s system can be irritating at times depending on how far you are from the next region.

I hate when I see people getting excited over things that should have been in this "game" years ago. Simple things like being able to shoot people in your hangars/ships/whatever. We asked for this for ages and should have gotten it when it was blatantly obvious that such a massive number of players are out there just to ruin someone else's time. There's zero excuse for it taking this long other than laziness and managerial incompetence.
