K9 barely raged. He was just frustrated and was self controlled enough to fist bump and not wreck anything.
@aintfalco79685 жыл бұрын
I see that sometimes in these. I'll never be annoyed by someone expressing sadness or frustration as long as they're not disruptive or directly disrespectful. Play your game however you play, just don't distract other competitors. K9 was perfectly within his rights here.

@FiveByFive I agree that "the its only a game, bro" argument doesn't really fly here, since like you said it's hundreds of hours of practice to get at that level, there's money involved, some of this guys do it for a Living, ect. What I'm getting at is that they are pros, upset doesn't begin to cover what they feel. But at the same time, if you are a pro you should be able to act professionally. I get it, a lot of work went into this moment, you came up short, it sucks; but throwing a tantrum ain't gonna make things better. Hats off to k9 keeping it as cool as he did tho, specially given his history he's come a long way

Have none of these players heard of the saying "It ain't over 'till it's over?" Seriously, throwing the *whole match* just because you lost *one* stock is just ridiculous and stupid. There is always that small possibility of a comeback, and you've gotta cling onto that like hell or you won't stand a chance. Patience and self-control is what sets real pros from children. Having anger issues can constantly have the person make hasty and bad decisions. Whether it be throwing the match, or screwing with his focus mid-match.
@RickATC5 жыл бұрын
I understand what you are saying and I agree, but a lot of players spend a lot of time in tournaments and spending that much time in the game can get to you, maybe you are not having a good day and need time to reflect, playing so much IS mentally tiring, so there is some reasoning behind it.
@naru2k45 жыл бұрын
@@RickATC No, I was not having a bad day. But looking back on it, I can see that what my comment is easier said than done. Spending hours and hours training only for it to be in vain is just the worst feeling. I may have been a little overboard with my comment. However, for players who have been in the field for years, I stand by my point. They need to learn that the match isn't over until the announcer shouts "GAME!"
@RickATC5 жыл бұрын
@@naru2k4 When I said "maybe you are not having a good day and need time to reflect" I was referring to the players and their situations not you specifically, sorry if I didn't get my message across very well. Also, as I said I agree with you when you say that people need to learn how to control their emotions, but I was just giving some points as to why these people may feel how they feel.
@naru2k45 жыл бұрын
@@RickATC Oh, whoops. And yeah, I get what you're saying. There are definitely plenty of factors that add up to the end result of throwing their controller.
@TheBomberman1225 жыл бұрын
@@naru2k4 to add on to what that guy said, it's also not just the single stock at face value. It's also everything that led up to that final moment of frustration, for example I'm the type of person that still takes it serious even if im at 200% and 2 stocks down hoping to get some good edgeguards. But theres a ness player I know locally and I dont play him at all, I could play adapt and beat him but honestly it's so annoying that I wouldn't even feel satisfied if I won, so why go through the headache.

@@daintyshart I could go on and on about it but here's most of the most infamous reasons - The guy taunts mid-match after nearly every stocks; Taunts IRL; Gets satly as hell when he loses; Majoritarily played the most overpowered character of the game at its time (and fell out of the radar once she got nerfed); Flipped off the crowd at Evo; ponctuates every entrance with a cringey dance (and sometimes leaves with it too instead of shaking the opponent's hand in fairplay). And him and his boyfriend were chit-chatting at the Evo's finals, holding the B-button and voluntarily make the crowd wait in frustration... He's pretty much what Leffen was to Melee, but with Smash 4. Now that his OP character got shot in both knees, he's back in the trash where he belongs.
