For past eight years I have been suffering from severe anxiety attacks. Recently, it has increased to the point where I wake up feeling like I am dying. All I am surrounded with is death thoughts. I feel like I am fainting and I don't exist in this reality. However, watching this video and reading all the comments makes me feel really better. It's very important to channel feelings to the right place. If anyone is reading, please pray for me so that I can overcome these attacks.

I am soooo sorry. I promise to pray. I understand. I would try to watch videos on vitamin deficiences and also detox and things like this. Can you afford or find a natural health professional? A naturopath? They can find parasites or things like this that can cause the attacks. Praying for you!! One day at a time. I got off meds and got rid of my panic attacks. It takes time.

Anika you got this. Confront it and don't run from it. Its difficult, but not impossible. Everything start with a thought, when negatives thoughts come to your mind confront it and say its just a thought its not real, Im ok, nothing is going to happen to me. Try to get professional help to help you go thru this. God had not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a healthy mind. I had felt the same way as you many times. Im continues to fight it . Im getting better every day. This takes times, lots of prayers and lots of practice. Anxiety do not kill anyone. You will not die. Its just anciety. Practice deep breathing exercice, this will calm you down, but if it you dont get better, please consult a doctor. God bless.

@@jamesgill9223 (22 and daily marijuana smoker and nicotine user) just got my first anxiety attack 3 days ago and went to the hospital because I thought it was a heart attack {150+ bpm} and it lasted hours and hours. Doctors ran 3 blood tests and kept me there due to my heart spiking every few second intervals. Even as I drifted off to sleep in the hospital I would be awoken by a huge spike looking at the monitor it would read 100+ jumping from low 50s. X-rays, ultra sound said I was healthy. My biggest fear is a heart attack and it doesn’t help I’ve had back pain for the last 3 days(worst fucking coincidence) . I do workout and keep a healthy diet with a low body fat %. I believe my fear is more irrational than anything else. Since my first attack I’ve put down the nicotine and weed. Went to work today and at work the panic hit me in the train and almost hit me at work (felt it creeping up and managed to calm down), now unsure if it has anything to do with my vices. I’m really hoping I can learn something from this video. Any progress with you?

I’m 33 years old. This morning I had to cancel my 2 year olds pediatrician appointment because I LITERALLY didn’t feel well enough to drive. Such a bad feeling as a mom. Rescheduled for tomorrow. Thank you so much for this video ❤️ God bless you . Y’all, please pray for me. Being a first time mom amidst a pandemic (I’m also a hypochondriac) has really impacted my anxiety/depression. He was about 6 months old and the world LITERALLY stopped. At first, I thought it was great. Being told to stay home. As a shy/anxious girl this was a DREAM! My husband did all the outings/shopping. I think all the isolation has worsened my anxiety. I’m fearful I’ll NEVER be able to return to a normal life . I’ve gotta get better for my son. Nobody understands unless they’ve been there. @@ItzDuhkota Reduce negative thoughts with a simple practice. Your breath is directly related to your mind [brain] causing negative thoughts-anxiety. For a relaxed life sit on a chair, back straight, eyes closed, be as still as possible and observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for around 5-10-15 minutes or more. Don’t fight your thoughts. Slowly the mind will relax. No deep breathing needed. Day or night before sleep sit or lie down on your back and observe your breath. Like me, make this a lifetime daily habit to have a good life. Avoid constipation as it affects the mind instantly. Best wishes Shyaaam Sir. -Counsellor.

Since many years I have made it a habit to observe my breath sensations even during my normal activities and I am feeling relaxed and healthy. Anywhere-anytime it can be done. The best part is nobody comes to now that you are doing the breath observing practice as there is no deep breathing or sound. After eating less at night, reducing oily and spicey food and drinking warm water on an empty stomach early morning, reducing non-veg and processed food I am free from any gut problems. Read my msg and do the practice regularly. Best wishes. Shyaaam Sir-Counsellor.

The part where you mentioned how those who struggle with anxiety always have an escape route hit home. I haven't been able to sit in the middle of a pew at church in almost a year and the back corner has become my safe space. I'm in my bestfriend's wedding this weekend as a bridesmaid and the thought of standing up there with no escape route has put me into a panic mode for the last couple of weeks. This video made me feel so much less alone! I am a Christian and to hear this topic dissected by a person of faith is so moving. Thank you for sharing!

About to be 32 years old and started developing anxiety while driving on highways. It's so weird because my entire life I have been find driving on highways, then all of a suddent it pops up. I'd like to consider myself a mentally strong person but Man do I have a respect for people who deal with anxiety on a daily basis. It does not matter how mentally strong you are but when a panic attack happens you feel extremely vulnerable. I will fight and overcome this because I will NOT allow this to control my life. Edit: I am able to drive on the highway now. I found out that alcohol and caffeine where the culprits of my high way anxiety. I've completely cut back on Coffee and limited alcohol to once a week. It's help immensely :)

Thank you so much for this video. I am 24 years old and had my first panic attack towards the end of May so this is new territory for me. Since then, my life has completely changed. I have them constantly now and the symptoms fluctuate. I have had tachycardia, chest pain, feelings of tightness in the chest area, breathlessness, uncontrollable shaking and overall feeling of impending doom and fear for my life. It has restricted me from enjoying many activities and has completely changed my personality from a happy adventurous person to a secluded fearful and apprehensive one. I feel like the help people like us receive from our loved ones is limited because they don’t completely understand the magnitude of the issue and don’t treat it like a real illness. I don’t want to take meds and I am tired of allowing my anxiety and panic attacks get the best of me. I want my life back. Thank you so much for taking the time and doing this video to help. A friend talked me into trying DMT and I ended up in the hospital getting shocked because I had such a bad panic attack that my brain shut down EVERYTHING in order to survive impending physical trauma that wasn't even coming. If you are already scared of the world, don't do mind altering street drugs. Dumbest advice to possibly give.

I’m currently 14 years old, had anxiety since I was 10. I have several other conditions that affect me physically. Ever since Covid-19 it’s just gotten worse and I’ve had my first panic attack a few months ago. My parents don’t really understand and I don’t have many friends who I can talk to about this. This video is really helpful though, lately my anxiety has been getting worse and caused me some other health problems but I feel like if I start early right now when I’m still young I might be able to manage it more easily. I’ve tried to push thoughts away so often but they would constantly come back and annoy me. This video has given me a different perception, so I’ll take these tips into consideration. Update 11/2/22: Since I’ve been getting a lot of replies on this for some reassign, I’ve decided to update. I’m 15 and in highschool now, 10th grade. My anxiety has gotten somewhat better and I haven’t had a panic attack ever since I originally commented. I still get bad anxiety prior to stuff that sets off my fight or flight, like interviews, presentations, but somehow I’m able to hide it better and relax once it’s over with. I don’t know if I would say things have been gotten better but I learned how to manage it on my own.

I just had my second ever panic attack. I was sitting at my computer watching KZbin, about to brush my teeth and go to sleep. For a split second there was a second of "disassociation?" of some kind, a weird feeling. I shook it off. 1 minute late my neck started almost burning. It spread to my chest and down to my stomach and all the way down to the feet. I began to panic and thought I was going to pass out. I dialed 911, but didn't make the call... I was going to wait until the very last second of consciousness to make the call. I decided to jump in my car and quickly drive to the ER. After the 15 minute drive, with the windows down, I began to feel semi-normal. They did some heart attack tests/blood tests, but everything came back "perfect". I'm not sitting here fearing this feeling popping up out of no where again.

For the last 9 days I’ve been suffering from extreme panic attacks and anxiety 24/7. I think I was meant to see this video, the universe put this in my path for a reason and I will take all the notes you have here and apply it to my life. Whenever anyone feels this way remember it’s happening for your highest growth. We can alchemize these feelings into positive ones, we just have to remember that we are here for a reason and we’re going through this for a reason. Peace be with everyone struggling with this and remember that we will get through this and that the universe does not present us with something in our path that we are unable to handle no matter how tumultuous. I’m grateful for my life and for this video. ❤❤❤

I’m guilty of this too so don’t take offence , but a friend of mine told me the language we use to describe anxiety like you said in the beginning of your sentence “extreme “ when describing your experience with them only reinforces your fear of them and negativity about them , basically it gives the experiences with them power , I’m trying to learn this too and when I tell someone or myself I try and not give them power through negativity because it only gives it power if another one happens, I’m trying to let go when I have one and think to myself oh well it happened I’m still here I’m alive yes it didn’t feel great but I’m ok , it seems to have worked to control them from being so bad . Just try not to think about what happened before and not to dwell on them

Hi Ryan, My battle with anxiety began during a bout with covid. I got over the illness in two days (aches, chills, fatigue), then the anxiety, panic and insomnia set in for the next 24 days. I wanted to crawl out of my own body. Regulating my breathing and ignoring the pressure in my chest was impossible. I couldn't eat, had acute dry mouth. Couldn't sit for more than five minutes. I paced my house night and day. Couldn't stand to be in a car. Had a full on panic attack. God was with me, but it was hard to feel him. I couldn't cry because then I couldn't breathe. I felt like a prisoner in my own body and mind. God was still on the throne. I feel 95% better. My healing came, and so did my commitment to be closer to Him each and every day. God is still God, and he loves me. Amen. This is what I did.... 1. If you believe in Jesus, and He is your Lord and Savior, say this scripture out loud until your health is restored completely. Do not give up, and trust Him. Jeremiah 17:14 - Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise. If you are not a believer, but want to give Jesus a shot, He can save you and heal you. Read this scripture and ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins and come into your heart and be your Lord and Savior. then pray Jeremiah 17:14. Romans 10:9-10 Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 2. Look up “powerful prayers for healing in your body” on a channel called Evangelist Gabriel Fernandez. I used this day and night. 3. Listen to and fall asleep while listening to prayers found on channel called Grace for Purpose. 4. Learn how to reset your vagus nerve. I used the techniques taught by Sukie Baxter (she’s on KZbin). This helped me regulate my breathing and brought a sense of calm I hadn’t felt in almost a month. 5. Read and repeat out loud Psalm 91. Until you believe it and embrace it as truth in your own life. 6. I listened to Christian music all day until it filled my soul with God’s presence. 7. Don’t give up. God loves you and He is with you. He will heal you.

3 Secrets: 1) Breathing from the belly. Inhale for 4 exhale through the mouth for 6 or 8 secs 2) Have a goal or mission in you life 3) Faith in God and yourself that you can overcome this. One thing you can control is your mindset. Maybe this is happening for a reason. Maybe I’ll use this to help others. Everything happens for a reason. Become grateful for anxiety attacks. Gratitude journals, grateful for whatever good is happening in my life. I see my errors. I hate this anxiety and depression. I don’t see a purpose in it all. No meaning of it all. It all has felt personal, random, like I’m targeted or being punished for my sins. I have no idea why God this is happening in my life, but I’m grateful that it’s here. God I can’t wait for you to show me why this has all happened.

So true! A goal or purpose is huge. Every day, I have to find even a little thing I do for someone else, if that’s all it can be, at least something. It’s that “adrift at sea” feeling that adds sheer terror to life. And for those who invite God to reach his arm down to pull them up (rather than keep trying to climb out of the pit alone!, he will send what we need swiftly. We do need to ask for the eyes to see what he sends, if, like new, one can be a little blind to helpful people. It was so rare, I didn’t know how to identity such people. And we need the wisdom to obey asap, as he times things well, and take that door he opened, because it will lead somewhere better. And if we mess up and miss it, take a wrong turn or miss hearing him, he is ever faithful to fix it. God is great at taking something that was bad, and even what was intentionally meant for bad, and turning it into something amazing. The Bible is full of stories where God turns the worst mess into something for the benefit of his faithful, and for his Glory. God will take the helm when we are adrift, and for all those who think they want to be captain of their own ship....fair enough, but GOD has all the maps, knows the uncharted territories, where the storms and icebergs will be, and much better places to go. That’s one reason why the Bible says to humble ourselves. We benefit when we stop thinking we need to know how to do the unknowable, or that we have to steer our own ship because we were all programmed, indoctrinated into that “DIY/pull yourself up by your own bootstraps” mentality. It’s wrong, dangerous, and just stupid...and God never meant for us to live that way. We aren’t supposed to be independent. That was a very harmful mindset from the dreaded field of psychology, (loaded with pseudoscience). Talk “therapy” should be limited, we shall have what we say. So...don’t marinate in the past. See it, face it, you won’t ever make it right or clear it perfectly, so cut it free..and then psychology came up with the derogatory word “codependent”, as if it were a bad thing. God called wants community. It is not good for man to be alone, says God. It was the first thing he said that wasn’t good (in Genesis). We are SUPPOSED TO BE codependent. It’s a GOOD thing. Sure, not in a crippling way, but we aren’t to be independent in a crippling way, either, and I’ve been a crippled independent my whole life. It never occurred to me that anyone WOULD ever help, so why would I think to ask? And that is some seriously messed-up thinking. We need each other, and we need God. And before I found God, and was still exploring, as it were, I made the gigantic, horrifying mistake of asking to be shown what it would be like for those who tried to refuse Heaven or hell, or the “offered options”, for those new age and pagan people who teach that they’ll just not do either, but go off and create their own existence. I still have had massive anxiety attacks from that. There IS NO creation without God. They’d be in the equivalent of a broken holodeck. Or as if buried alive, 1,000 miles beneath the earth, with no way to die and no way to contact anyone or anything...forever. Without God, there’s just nothing, and we are NOT creators, we use his breath every second of the day, and that’s why we must mind what we say. We are saying it with HIS breath. He breathed into man, not into anything else. We have taken his name when we accepted his invitation to his family and to salvation, and Jesus never said or did anything that God didn’t tell him to say or do. That’s serious restraint. And we are to be like him and do like him, EVERYTHING (John 14:12, that’s everyone who believes in him and leans all the way on him, it’s not for just “priests”, and such, which he abolished on the day of Crucifixion anyway, temple veils torn, he destroyed the veil, anyone still using it is...misled and wrong. What God has put together, let no man put asunder, but it works the other way as well… What God has torn asunder but no man try to put back together, either...and if Satan brought something together, like a horrible marriage that was not drawn by God or conducted before him, then it’s not something God brought together, so it can be torn asunder if it’s from hell)...so we are to do all wirks he did, all means all, and the world would be vastly different if that had always been the case, all Christians has always been cleansing the lepers, healing, raising the dead, and casting out demons, not just caring for the poor, and teaching people about the Father and salvation)...We are to do it all, except the Crucifixion, which we can’t do because Jesus is the only sinless one. The 4 Gospels outline our instructions. John already told us if they wrote it all down, the world couldn’t hold all the books, so...they took their notes from traveling with Jesus, took the best examples, and left us their instructions. Jesus taught them to do everything he did and then said “go, make disciples of them all”...and we had religiousity try to strip true Christians of this. Counterfeit religions DO strip this power away, but non-denominations do NOT. We have big shoes to fill, Jesus said in John 14:12 he had extremely high expectations of anyone who claimed to believe in him. So, anyway, God allowed me to experience that nightmare of being completely cut off from him...not even atheists are as yet, all humans still are connected to him...but one day, they will get what they demanded, total cut off from God. Then they’ll easily see his hand in everything...too late. That was 4 hours of sheer terror, and then God made himself known, and no way would I want a second away from him now. Never. So, people can try to be our own captain, and navigator... but we win when we shut up and let Abba Father steer the ship.

I've been suffering from shortness of breath from the past months last year, and on the new year's day celebration this year 2023 was my first anxiety attack. I was enjoying with the picture taking, happy....when suddenly my mood changed. I Sat down and lost control. It was scary, I started panicking. Everything around me was unrecognizable. I even didn't know myself. I began to feel like I was about to faint, made me more scared about everything. I was fighting with that feeling not to faint so I shouted asking for hot compress, water to drink, a massage at my back. It took a while for that crazy feeling to end. I went to the toilet, my stomach was feeling so bad. I vomited. I got so so scared that I asked my papa to take me to the hospital and everything about my vital signs, blood pressure, ECG....all normal.

The two men in the prison, maybe on the surface everything was the same in the prison, but what we don’t know is how both of these men were raised, what they went through in their childhoods, they might have had similar experiences in the prison but you’re suggesting one killed himself because of the prison situation. You missed out his entire life story before this. You also don’t know what was going on in the prison to each man privately.

I’m only a couple minutes into your video and I can already relate already. I have severe perinatal anxiety (anxiety after birth). I already had anxiety before I had my 2 kids and I just had my second one. And let me tell you it is the worst feeling. Not only dealing with hormonal imbalance and recovering mentally but on top of that dealing with anxiety is just the cherry on top for chaos. Little by little it’s getting better , I pray a lot and take Ashwaghanda for the stress and adrenaline I get from anxiety and it has helped so much. I’m happy to know I’m not the only one going through this. I’m hopeful all of the people in the comments also going through this , will overcome this challenge. We’re strong and just like this disorder that seems like it’s taking over us seems like it’s stronger , it won’t take over our life’s !!!

Thank you for this brother. As im listening to this video, im in a dark place. My mind has been racing, thinking Im going to die, because of my health anxiety. Been on this mission for quite sometime. Faith is the only and HUGE ingredient Im missing. I say have faith but dont belive it at heart. After watching this my main focus everyday every moment is to increase my faith no matter how hard it gets. I need to heal for me and to be more mentally present for my kids and wife. They deserve it

My battle with anxiety began during a bout with covid.

You are a true inspiration. Have been copping with anxiety and OCD since i know myself, even as a kid. Some periods in life 3-5 years i lived without anxiety, but from like my late teenage years till now(i am 25 years old) i started to get really bad thoughts and constant anxiety that literally almost ruined my whole life. Drugs and alcohol abuse and so on, you know the story. Anxiety made me felt like everyone is my enemy and since i am stubborn, i used the wrong methods to cope with it.. I practiced street life and I alienated myself from this world, it hurt my soul really bad. It is really hard, because it makes you hurt people you love. But after i saw this video, I started writing my first 'gratitude' notes and I hope things get better.

I lost my job due to panic attacks. I was diagnosed in November with Panic Disorder. The biggest impact that has been made on me thus far is what you said, “What is your mission” I hadn’t been able to get employed because after I lost my job I felt as though I lost my identity and that has been what’s keeping me stuck. EDIT: I kept strong, with the thought of being better each day doing something to keep my mind occupied and being relentless in trying to get back to being able to live a normal life. Eventually it became just a small voice in the back of my head that I would kinda laugh at. My mission was to survive, and I did. I survived and I’m still surviving against all odds and against my own mental health.

The embarrassment of suffering from this complex situation is what makes dealing with panic disorder so much worse. This is an absolutely beautiful video - I was crying so much through it - about 6 months ago I started getting strange chest pains and back pains - it scared me - as a lifelong healthy person whom worked out every day and my passion - playing drums in my various bands most weekends - I was scared I was dying or going to keel over any day. Never touched a drug in my life and rarely drank alcohol - After three visits to the ER in as many months getting my heart checked and everything good there - I developed severe anxiety attacks over my daily pains which are still happening - I can hardly play drums now without lots of pain and working out is completely out of the question right now - I have been told that my chest and back pain is from stress and anxiety and an msk issue - so I am going to see a physio and chiropractor next week to see if they can help me through my daily pain - I have gotten a lot closer to God going through this - thanking him for this beautiful life and my two beautiful daughters - I pray daily now and have completely opened up to my friends about my anxiety attacks - and they have been so helpful - and like you said, they were struggling through things I never knew about too - so the conversations have been quite deep but good and healthy! So I am taking this as a massive and painful learning experience that God is putting me through right now - there has to be a reason for it and it's funny when you mentioned gratitude for your anxiety attacks - I started thanking God for them last week because in a strange way I have really grown mentally and emotionally through experiencing them - I have had them 6 months now - incredible how you handled them for 14 years!! Amazing! Faith is what I need more work on and I'm doing my best every day on that :) Have to move forward - God has a plan and I have to trust that! Thank you for your incredibly inspirational video!!!

You are definitely NOT alone! There's tons of people out there in similar situations. It just doesn't feel that way because we've been programmed by society to put on a strong act and keep quiet about our mental health issues. Professional therapy helps you to overcome or at least manage anxiety and depression. You just have to work really hard towards getting better. The techniques he mentioned alleviate and control anxiety/depression, but you will only begin to see a positive change when you practice them daily for a couple of minutes. Set aside 30 minutes to an hour a day to just breathe, calm your mind down, and visualize your best self - someone who you deeply admire and root for. What's your true purpose? What makes you fulfilled? Remember, the goal is to be fulfilled (100% happiness doesn't exist). Repeat to yourself that no one is perfect, but you sure as hell will live a meaningful life serving your true purpose! During this time, try practicing a healthy internal dialogue. Instead of judging yourself, remind yourself how worthy and capable you are! You will begin to see improvement after a month of diligently practicing these techniques. Best of luck to you in your journey. Things WILL get better, just let room for change to happen! P.s., subscribe to Therapy in a Nutshell's KZbin channel if you'd like hear amazing professional advice!

May I add that sometimes anxiety is not just in our mind. According to neurobiology anxiety exists in our nervous systems, thus in our bodies. So for some people therapy is needed, to acknwoledge and adress their trauma and learn how to cope with it.

I stumbled on your video today and got really inspired because I too struggled with anxiety (still do from time to time) and can totally relate to some of things you learned during your struggle. I tried anxiety meds for the first time before an important teambuilding workshop and they made my mind so foggy that I embarrassed myself in front of my peers by not being able to articulate my points clearly. They might be OK if you want to sit around your house all day, but for a busy person on the go they aren't the answer. At least they weren't for me. And I think you're spot on with your breathing techniques. It's absolutely incredible that something so simple can be so powerful. One thing that worked wonderfully for me too, and still does, is a good dose of endorphins prior to an important social setting. Workout hard for 30-60 minutes and it's nearly impossible to be anxious over the little things that might have otherwise made me very anxious. One more thing: When you mentioned alcohol makes you anxious, were you referring to the after-effects (hangover) or while intoxicated, because the hangover for me most definitely made/makes me very anxious, but not while actually drinking. Thanks for video. I think I'll buy your book now. Take care.

@@JoJo-209- i think the most important Thing i learned is, that These Emotions and Feelings are Not dangerous for you and i learned how i created my panicattacks by myself and my thoughts. I started to meditate and this Was a game changer. Since then the Attacks are less frequent and also Not that intense. At first i did some breathwork for calmig me down, if i had the feeling of getting into anxiety or panic, which basically was already Meditation but i didnt know that at that time. I think the most important Thing is to let everything Flow and sit through the Attacks, but with a positive mind and thoughts. Thats why i meditate if i have Attacks These days. I just sit here, close my eyes and breath while my body is doing everything it needs to Do. The KZbin channel "the anxiety guy" also helped me a lot so far :)

I have read too many gurus on anxiety, none of them seem to work with me at the end. However doing research after research, one thing about anxiety is at the core of us we have extreme resistance built up which is what causes the anxiety. It is the fight between our inner self identity and our rejection to it. That creates the resistance which creates anxiety on us. It sounds simple but it can take for some life time to understand what our inner self is. Trust me other than that all the contents on anxiety help are only addressing the symptoms not the cause. If a opiate addict is having flu and fever, giving them medication or even opiates is only symptom. You can only truly address that problem by quitting opiates completely once and for all. Likewise all the anxiety help are like this we are just addressing our symptom. For mild case it might work but majority of hard cases, unless deeper problem are addressed it will just keep on reoccurring

My panic disorder has recently been triggered by steroid tablets for an auto immune condition I have , and they are intense and happening every day for the last two weeks , I’m absolutely exhausted and it feels like I’m dying when I have them , that’s my fear that I will die and I know when you give that negative thought they make them worse I’ve really struggled to control them this time around , my doctor has just halfed my dosage and it seems to have made an improvement, I’m so on edge and had enough of them, feels like I’m losing my mind please god give my strength I won’t give up but I can’t carry on like this

I literally crawled out of bed at midnight fighting off another panic attack, turned on my computer, and googled stop panic attacks and found your video. I had a real hard time watching it at first, but I felt God telling me to keep watching. By the end of this video, taking deep breathes and thanking God for my gift of teaching, I knew I needed to stop procrastinating and start writing my book on teaching in the corporate world. Also, I pulled out paper and pen and started writing what I'm thankful for - focused on a growth mindset rather than a fixed mindset. I should know better, but God sent this video to remind me. Thank you so much for your work!

Thank you for sharing this. As someone who was a severe alcoholic battling depression and anxiety, I would like to add one thing...using alcohol heavily for an extended period of time has been scientifically proven to actually change our brain chemistry, as well as our ability to produce certain hormones that “make us feel good” for lack of a better term. In these cases, professional psychiatric examination and medications are the only way to biologically reverse the damage done. Eventually the medications can safely be stopped under a doctors supervision when they are no longer needed. I suffered needlessly for almost a year with severe depression and anxiety after getting sober, because I didn’t want to take medications. Finally I broke down and saw a doctor, and the medications he prescribed have helped tremendously. So, take the advice in this video but also see a doctor. It can, and will, change your life.

Great feedback, Ben. Yes, I too saw a doctor and took pills. It was all part of my journey to understand what truly could help me (and I'm grateful I went to the doctor and I'm grateful for my short stint with pills). But as you pointed out, the drugs are great in the short-term but not a long-term play. Thanks again for taking the time to watch and comment.

I’m 26 and for years I’ve thought to myself I can overcome anything I don’t need pills. But now I’ve let my anxiety and depression take over my life. I want and need to see a doctor but just the thought of sitting in the waiting room makes me have a panic attack. So I’m like, stuck. I need help but I’m too afraid to go get it.

Been there, brother. Alcohol is a terrible thing for people with anxious tendencies. Years ago, if I drank too much, I could hardly drive a car the following day and even just going outside of the house was a struggle. Forget about being around people or doing any sort of critical thinking. Giving it up was a massive help for me, too. 90% of all fleeting anxious thoughts and physical sensations disappeared when I was 2-3 weeks from the last drink. There is a reason the why the Word says that people led astray by drink are not wise… you stunt your own growth and power when you drink. One of the best sayings I’ve heard about drinking is that it is the practice of “stealing a little happiness from tomorrow”. Well, ain’t that the truth. The problem is that continued use steals more and more happiness from the following day until there is nothing left but crippling and painful anxiety. Thank you for sharing your wisdom! 🎣

I can barely go to work, i can't go anywhere and have fun cause as soon as i leave my home i start to panic and my heart just starts racing and pounding out of my chest! I just stared with the tapping solution and it has helped me allot! But I'm glad i found your video as well! My husband just bought me and him our own motorcycles and I've only been able to ride a couple times cause i always get so nervous as soon as we leave home, but im praying this helps and i can go back to living my life!

Caffeine can definitely make anxiety worse or cause an anxiety or panic attack. Find another was to stay awake. Also keeping alcohol to 3 drinks or less is not necessarily a solution. Maybe 3 beers a week might be better, but not consumed all in the same day. Also in certain people alcohol can create more anxiety.

When I had my first panic attack I started binge drinking. Everyday I was drunk, and it’s been about 4-5 months now. Alcohol is definitely a temporary fix and not worth it, it’ll make your anxiety so much worse.
