thanks guys, hit it out of the park again. just west of the shop is a great kayak ramp also , but it is slippery. try explosives just a little will get you fish and room and board in the jail house... lol ... hope to see you on the beach this yr. keep rocking it . ever think about a meet and great at the beach

Thanks Jeff & Kristi for the lowdown on what you use ! Can't wait until the fam and I get to the OBX the first week of June for our yearly vacation there! Last year my 16 yr old daughter was catching sandfleas on the beach with her bare hands and did so good at it that I bought her a sandflea rake to make it a little easier. Lets just say we had plenty of fresh sandfleas to the point she asked if she should sell some to the bait shops! Keep up the awesome vids guys! My son wanted to let ya know if ya need some fishing partners this June 1-4 just let us know! LOL

What would you recommend for an inshore rod & reel? I've got rods and reels for surf fishing, but I could use something for casting artificials. What size reel? 2500? 3000? How long of a rod 7-7 1/2'? Medium to medium heavy with a fast action? Something decent without breaking the bank?!?

Great video. We live in Ontario Canada so salt gear can only really be found online which makes hook selection a challenge . Not to mention jaw dropping expensive for hard baits. I have a lot of questions about inshore and beach fishing. Where we go holds a lot of barracuda snapper and jacks.

Sand fleas are also easy to find if you can’t buy them. They hangout at the edge of the waterline at the beach, just dig for them. Easy free bait

I am new to fishing and this was a great video on some good stuff to get started. I have a rod but have been borrowing gear from a friend and I didn't want to feel like using all his stuff all the time so now that I'm a bit more educated I'll go and grab my own gear :) any rod recommendations? I'd like one that's good for pier fishing+ lake fishing that's a bit more on the expensive side but not overly expensive, something that is quality, and would last me long enough to not get that itch to buy a new one haha. Is that even possible?

Usually separate poles and reels are recommended. 1 for salt water and the other for fresh water.
