I am a FL saltwater flats dude. Living in England and forced to fish trout on lakes. I only know how to cast like this and it is funny to watch people look at you as I double haul half the lake side-handed. lol.

Thank you for this video, first time on the boat today I was struggling in the wind and outgoing tide until I started side casting. I also didn't understand stripping the line to present the fly as you've shown.

We had a hewes bayfisher it was a great boat and had it for a long time but we just recently sold it and bought a mitzi skiff. The hewes was kinda hard to pole and couldnt go any skinnier then 10 inches
