Sound advice...love your reference to Belgium cast ......often overlooked. Loading up a 10wt fly rod is NOT easy.......great video

I fish for stripers and catch in the triple digits annually, this is by far on of the most practical vids on casting...I fish s ton from the yak, and use all these casts, my only add is creating a line drive and stopping high with a true stroke as close to 180 degrees will maximize distance. That said, precise placement is more important than distance.

The rodeo cast works quite well for me. Just rotate the flyrod overhead with little drag on your reel and lay it down when line gets out enough. The result is a very soft presentation

Your last technique to get under the mangroves, can only be done if you’re wading. I like this other technique by Joe Rotter, shown in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2KZlnp-iJWenK8 You have to practice it but once you’ve mastered it, you’re golden. It can be done from the boat or wading, if in shallow waters.

Appreciate the tips but i fish freshwater and not once have I ever casted by using my wrists
