@reefwanter you should go to the pet store and buy some instant ocean salt, just add like 10-15 table spoons to your tank, mix the salt in a bucket or something and let it desolve before you add it. with that little amount of salt you wont need to do anything diff to the tank than what you are doing now and both the gsp and violet goby will be much happier.

Mine is about 1 inch long in a freshwater 10 gallon with a violet goby. I love him! Was your setup expensive?

A dislike does nothing to me nor hurt my feelings but figured I'd make this a teachable moment to help the youth of America think a little better. Did it ever occur to you that may be... just may be... they were purchased this way, rescued from a tiny, cramped, diseased, freshwater Walmart tank? And that may be... just may be... this was an acclimation tank to saltwater? Fail, think thoroughly before commenting or feel free to ask questions. : )

@kristinadiane1230 Thanks... The more space you have the less chance of puffers being aggressive towards each other... 2 might be much for a 10 gallon. I recommend 15 or 20 gallon for 2 depending on how big they are. They have moved by the way to a larger system

You should be incredibly proud of that tank! There no doubt you have a great talent for aquatics! I imagine it is a great environment for your puffers :) and I'm not normally fussed about the image of a tank but in this case I have to say I'm impressed!

@reefwanter My equipment was a standard 2.5 gallon AGA, Toms mini power-filter, Elite mini filter (for extra circulation) exoterra fixtre for reptile habitats and a coralife 20-watt incandescent 50/50 bulb. All was purchased at Petsmart for under $80

@ArizonaFishkeeping Salinity at .024... Acclimation was a day and they are thriving. It goes against everything you would read in acclimation but honestly the puffers are dying to be in salt. They look more alive and healthy in salt.

This tank is almost identical to what I have been wanting to create. What's your filtration setup? How long have you had those mangroves in the tank? How are they attached to the substrate and what substrate did you use? Do you fertilize? Sorry, I have many questions...

You have to many mangroves, for your size of tank you should have at least 5 mangroves. your water will become inhabitable for any leaving sea creature on your tank.

2 gsp's in 10 gallons? They need about 30 gallons a fish...minimum! I have 2 gsp's in a 100 gallon fish tank and they are loving the space...You're going to find some dead/damaged fish when they get a bit older.
