I watch plenty of videos on sea fishing and appreciate advice and tips on baits, rigs, locations etc., but want to say how enjoyable this video was, no commentary, just listening to the sounds of gulls, waves and tide over the shingle and just watching you fish, really appreciated, thank you! 👍

That’s good to know. I think some folks miss the sound of the Sea so wanted to concentrate on that a bit more today. Appreciate the feedback

I agree, not all of us are beginners instructional videos are fine but watching someone wrap a bait up for the hundredth time gets a bit tedious I find I'm skipping these bits on most people's vids, really enjoyed this it was a refreshing take in the fishing video genre👍🎣🎣

Just goes to show, if your production value is this good, no need for words. This put me on the beach, could have been fishing myself. Class re chasing the bag down the beach, nice touch! Sound of the sea, the wind, the birds, pebbles under foot, very relaxing indeed. Thank you.

Wessex rig . 6/0 -3/0 pennel on the running ledger with big squid or mackerel bait , 3/0 top snood with big worm bait . 20 -30 yards out . Can be deadly close in for that big bass .

Are the big breakaway leads & strong rods strictly necessary in conditions like these? Could I get away with essentially carp/pike gear and e.g. a 2oz lead?
@SaltwaterAngler11 ай бұрын
No needs a 5oz lead. It’s not really the waves you see it’s the swell under the water. Lots of shingle shifting after the previous weather. That said on smaller tides 3oz leads will just about hold. Summer lends itself to carp style set ups for sure
