It’s a pirate game, there are no rules. That’s what makes it so great. If you have a flag to turn in and then your teammate just leaves before a fight, it’s just not worth it. You could be “haha I’m brave” and lose all your hard work or live to fight another day.

here's what i do to people at shrines, i pull up next to their ship, board with a storage crate, steal all their shit, bring all their treasure to my ship too, chainshot their mast and wheel, but repair any hull damage, and just leave them like that.

I've threatened to red sea loot before, but generally by the time I give up to that, it's been two hours of me being chased, most of my good loot I've already drive-by-dropped-off, and I never have an emissary flag for them. Some people just assume I owe them two hours+ of my time to let them chase me around when I don't care enough to sea battle them. That being said, I don't think I could live with myself if I did that as reapers. It may have become the joke of a grind faction, but it's the pvp faction so at that point I'd have to get rough.

Tbh i have nothing against pve players. I myself and my friends i usually play sea og thueves with have mental issue (neurosis. Makes any encounter hell but we fight it this way) and we ussually have a lot of fun but because of toxic people my rms do not want any pvp. And i dont mean pvp for loot. Just picking on us. Sometimes i think its because we change the collor of our lamps to green, white, red or blue. I thought of red sea many times but i cannot bring myself to do it. Some of them are cool and leae us alone but we had actuslly been running once for 6 hours. We gave our ashen chests to a galleon we seen parked (jump off strstegy) and if not for sea of thieves mechanics (got stuck) we would run and sell. Still they got just few cheap chests off the deal and we sold all blue dooblons loot. Sometimes i think there should be a way to pve.(there are people who seek relax in getting loot and telltales but there is too many trolls to avoid and somehow we had the bad luck of meeting cheaters often(pc...) using esp and aimbots. Yes they got banned but we lost the loot already so whats the point?)

A grade 5 reaper pc galleon chased me my cousin and some random we found and are now friends all of us bad at pvp coming for our grade 4 emissary and 1 vaults worth of loot we went to morrows peak considering activating the shores of gold as the random hasnt even seen the red sea then we scrapped it passed a veil hoping the phantom ships get them to stop they didn’t so we went to galleons grave sold half the loot and lowered the emissary they did all that to lose most of the loot

The red sea is on the border of the map. Ships who sail into it will start to sink so you can't get them or their loot cause you are sinking too
