The donator said a bunch of twitch memes as a joke and then said that he thinks the deck is pretty bad. Andrey refuted a bunch of points the donator never made assuming he knew what the donator thought. Literally the only thing that he could have possibly tried to refute was "the deck seems pretty bad", which he didn't try to refute.

Being 'results oriented' just means that you're more focused on the outcome, than how you got to there. An example of being a results oriented player would be considering a play good if it won you the game, despite the fact that the same play would lose 9 out of 10 times. Results oriented thinking is only really used as a negative thing in card games, like Poker and Hearthstone, because the statistically best option won't always win in that moment, but it will win more in the long run.

I think Results Oriented is easier to define using a poker analogy. If you have 3/7 off suit and fold and the board comes 4,5,6 rainbow...a results oriented person would say, "Fuck! That's why I need to start playing 3/7 off suit." Even though mathematically, flopping the straight happens 2% of the time so you lose your ass in the long-run.
@stark8837
@stark8837 8 жыл бұрын
It's not easier. Few people would understand what you said there. A simple choice A and choice B example is clear enough.

Being results-oriented is flipping a coin, betting tails, getting heads, and then saying it was "wrong" to bet heads. Being results-oriented is saying that if someone gets into an entirely random car accident on their way to work one day, they shouldn't have been driving to work that day. These are the kinds of examples you use when you want to sum up, in one sentence, why being results-oriented is just super goddamn dumb.

Honestly, he has all the reasons to be angry. I dunno if I would like to switch places with him, even thought he owns a much profitable site, and I'm kinda poor. Dealing with all this bullshit in chat, donations and Hearthstone in general, every day? Shit's hard, man.

@kirafgc454 8 жыл бұрын
The internet consists of bullshit regardless of where ya go. Only difference is he get's paid. Now don't take it the wrong way, I agree to a certain extent but if you're going to stream for twitch you need to have thick skin.
@jackwinterheld4335
@jackwinterheld4335 8 жыл бұрын
AemaAndAeon Yeah, that's right. But on sites like reddit/4chan/dirty/etc you can piss out, you can leave, because they are meant to entertain you to some degree, and also are, as stated, sites. If you stream - that is almost always not an option, you have to deal with the situation, because, as you've stated, you get paid for it. I imagine it as being a zoo caretaker, but with much bigger salary.

Couldn't agree more. As I was younger, I dreamed of a lifestyle like that, but today, despite me playing games all day long if possible, I wouldn't swap places with him. Making my hobby a job is a risky thing, and also twitch community, or vocal minority, is so god awfull annoying, I couldn't take that every day 8h straight.

even when reynad becomes a salt mountain, he still offers great advice. you can play the best meta decks and make all the right tempo and trade decisions, But then u face that mage/shaman that top decks pyroblast/4 mana 7/7. real life ex, you can buy a new car, but have the engine die the next day. why? no reason, we label this anomaly, life.

So Reynad, i have a legit question. What do you do in those scenarios? Do you take the same option every time, or do you yolo and hope they don't have a response to your play? My scenario is always this, either keep killing everything the opponent drops with my big creatures, or just swing face and take chunks of their life total. What could happen is either they get a card that they swing back with and stall me until they do (by which time I could have out damaged him and won), or just go face. Tough choices, man. I realize this is why I'm still Rank 8 btw.

You made the explanation of result-oriented so circuitous. Just think of (not loaded) dice: I roll one and it lands on 3. Being result oriented means that you conclude out of this result that it will always roll 3. So if I now ask you if it will roll 3 or not you will predict it to land on 3, which will however be wrong most of the time.

Can I just say that if Reynad was sitting in his house enjoying some tea and it's a wonderful day to stream. The best even. Then all of a sudden a storm kicks and everyone's fleeing their house. Reynad too decides to run but he trips, gets left behind and the storm sweeps him up. And then he's going to complain about bad RNG and how life just isn't fair to him while swirling in the tornado. Then, miraculously, he lands back on the ground safely without a single injury after the tornado is over but ignores that fact and when he sees his house destroyed amongst many other obliterated houses, he's going to say that RNG is unfair to onlyhim, life is unfair to only him and is just going to stop living in a house and start his life anew as a gypsy

to be honest what he said is true, with the donation and the whole chat being assholes. Yeah. Just because someone donated doesnt mean he has to be their pet, after all the donation is voluntary. Same with talking about the whole minmum wage thing, people live their lives how they wanted to, and just because you have a "in your opinion" worse job, doesnt give you the right to be an asshole to whoever that has a better job. And let's just say everyone has their own problems you just don't know it.

while he presents it in a very grating or harsh manner what he's actually talking about makes a lot of sense. he biggest paradox I see with streamer-community talks is when the community gets mad at a streamer for bitching and whining yet its always one of the most entertaining things they do, I think i speak for more then just me when I say watching someone complain and whine about life shitting on them is enjoyable in a sadistic kinda way. (even if it is just about children's trading cards)

It’s fun in a kinda sick way. But truthfully? It bores me pretty quickly. Imagine watching a TV show where, mid scene, the actor melts down and starts complaining about shit. Yeah, that would be entertaining at first. But after awhile, you’d just be like “dude, stfu. Just do what your paid to do: entertain”. It reminds me of those long suffering “artist” who talk about how put upon they are making music for people and people not “getting” their new material. Anyone in the world would trade places with them in a second. The irony is that streamers that go down this salty road are just thinking about it all wrong. I mean think about it. What other job could you go off like that and not only keep your job but actually increase your wages? It’s just ungrateful, like spiting in Gods face or something. I’m not saying streamers should take abuse or anything but how they respond to it is completely up to them.

not sure why people enjoy his bad stream. not sure if it's his actual personality or if it's just for money making. EIther way, I wouldn't watch it. Imo, even if I enjoyed people being mad, it'd get old real quick because it seems artificial and fake. And no I always found his statement about tuskar dumb. Realistically, only the totem golem and the Mana tide totem are good. Flamentongue is ok, but situational because you'd need board control first. So really, he has a 1/7 chance of benefiting 2 mana from it(totem golem), 1/7 chance of benefiting roughly 0.5-1.5 mana (mana tide), and 1/7 chance of benefiting roughly 1 mana(flametongue). That means more than half of the time, the card is still bad. And even in the other half of the time, the card is usually only mildly good to decent. So there's no reason to complain about RNG just because your opponent got 3 totem golem in a row or w.e. We all know statistics doesn't work that way.
