i dont think random effects in hearthstone are actually random, they are skewed in a way to maintain a 50% winrate for each player, if deadly shot is played against you and you won a lot of games before it will hit the biggest minion

There are dozens of RNG cards, most people will have at least one "outlier" either way, that's just common sense based on the sample size. Reynad had bad luck with Deadly Shot, but that's a single card and he had good luck with other cards. That's what happens when you focus on the negative enough to specifically remember "this is the 7th/8th time this month it's fucked me over out of hundreds of games", you see selective bias.

Can anyone straight face tell me this is a "good game". A game where you can literally outplay your opponent all match but instantly lose the game from one bad roll of the constant RNG. Whispers of the old gods was a step in the right direction with very few RNG based cards but hearthstone is already so laced with RNG, it'll always be an RNG based game.

Danlord IOI Yogg is still a trash card. RNG is fine in a card game, heavily skewed RNG is bad in a card game. Implosion was a heavily skewed RNG card, as 2/3 times you're getting an extremely powerful result. Boom bots were a heavily skewed RNG card, as 3/4 times you're getting a worthwile effect up to an amazing effect that changed the game on it's own. Yogg is not a heavily skewed RNG card. It's based off the number of spells you've played this game, so you have to form a deck with the card in mind. Along with this, it's playing spells pulled from a massive pool. If we are talking about standard, Yogg has 198 differen't spells to play. Out of those 198 spells, about 39 of them can hit the opponents face, this 39 number includes every single spell that could potentially hit the opponents face like magic missiles. So for every spell he casts, he has a 39/198 chance of potentially hitting the opponents face. After this chance he has to actually hit the opponents face, which can be lowered depending on the amount of minions you and the enemy has on the board. If you think such a RNG card is actually strong you're either stupid or just bad at games lol.
