I don't know if Sanchez is the the best ever Mexican champion, but he sure seems to have had the most complete game. He could slide around the perimeter of the ring to pick his opponent off, fight in close, throw combos without opening himself up excessively, fight off the ropes as well as anybody (Gomez found that out) & when a trainer says come back with the left hook - think of Sanchez who did it consistently & perfectly - great balance. Big fan of this guy.

I think the real difference is not the number of rounds fighters had in the past but the difference in skills. Being a journeyman and a gatekeeper in the past era has more meaning before than being a contender and world champion today. boxers before had far more superior skills and experience than today.

Castillo un excelente boxeador, en estos tiempos seria campeón en varias divisiones y multiplecampeon como el canelo que tiene como 10 cinturones. Desafortunadamente se topo con el mejor boxeador Sal Sánchez un fuera de serie. Los tres que enfrento lo hicieron con rabia, como si en eso les fuera la vida. Me refiero a Castillo, Laporte, Ford. Solo Laporte sobresalió. Los otros decepcionados se perdieron. Aun no se que paso con ellos. Tal vez pensaron que lo del coloradito fueron suerte. Y estaban tan seguros que acabarían con él, pero oh decepción, creo que ahí dieron todo que hasta no les quedo para más. Con Ford algunos dicen que hasta gano pero vean la pelea. Esta pelea estaba muy competitiva pero Sanchez le puso mas presion en la segunda parte de la pelea como un campeon. Esta division era la natural de Castillo se vio muy rapido no cuando subio y se miraba lento contra Chavez y Laporte. Excelente boxeo en esta pelea.

@@filosofiadela4tx886 mire hoy nuevamente la pelea sin audio, porqué Castillo estaba de local y cualquier golpe que tiraba se lo victoriaban aunque no pegaran a Salvador, el 11 Round lo hiba ganando Salvador y fue para terminarlo qué Castillo conectó buenos golpes, y como estaba de local pensó que los jueces lo hiban a favorer por esos golpes, cuando Salvador lo conectó en toda la pelea a pesar qué se la pasó montado en la bicicleta, pero fue decisión unanime por la clara superioridad de Salvador Sanchez.

Hola este es un análisis de tiempo pasado en este combate pero creo que los jueces exageraron con salvador más bien un empate estuvo muy pareja y hubieron asaltos muy monótonos y sobre alexis arguello ni hablar ninguno a ruben viene de perder contra alexis y salvador no se ha topado con un púgil con pegada destructiva como la de arguello lo único a su favor sería la diferencia de edades aún así mis respetos a salvador y ruben fueron grandes púgiles en esa división honra y gloria a la vieja guardia del box.

Castillo: 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, 13, 15 Sanchez: 4, 6, 7, 10, 12, 14 Draw: 11 Final Score: 144-142 for Castillo Close fight. I tried to pick a winner every round, and I was able to for the most part quite comfortably. Round 11 was only round where I felt absolutely obligated to score a draw. Do I think Sanchez got a gift? Did he get too much benefit of the doubt? Eh... I mean, I don't think it's impossible to score for Sanchez. This was a very close fight, but I do feel that Castillo won. But that's just me, and who am I? In the end, it was a close fight, and both men deserve some respect.

@@fjimenezbotello Yo creo que el que se equivoco de pelea fue usted mi estimado, si bien la pelea fue dividida los rounds fueron bastante claros y faciles de apreciar en donde a mi gusto la tarjeta debio apuntar: Castillo: 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 11, 13, 15 = 143 Sanchez: 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 14 = 142 Sanchez recibio mucho castigo a lo largo de la pelea ofreciendo muy muy poca defensa en donde varias veces fue invitado a no golpear debajo del cinturon y una mas en donde es abucheado por golpear en la nuca. Al final de la pelea Castillo hasta se relaja un poco en el round 15 y aun asi lo gano en donde Castillo alza las manos confiado de su triunfo mientras que el rostro de Sanchez es de consternacion y de preocupacion. El problema aqui es que la adoracion hacia Sanchez es demasiada que casi lo santifican por lo que sus Fanboys se niegan a aceptar que tambien fue superado varias veces y esta fue una de ellas.
