Cokeman... Someone pretentious wouldn't have shared the victory with his sister at the end, he would have sang it alone. Someone pretentious wouldn't also, at the end, made it a point to thank the guy playing the instruments. Someone pretentious wouldn't have also, for example, praised Italy's entry during interviews. I figure you think that because of his "victory for music" remark? Very cynical view of his speech, especially considering he's not a native English speaker and was just having the "night of his life". Maybe some context will help: He was criticized in Portugal for not choosing a more "generic pop" song type, sang in English (which critics figured had more chances to win or get a good score) and going with a ballad in Portuguese, as well as going ahead with a very "bare" act of just him singing.

I am melting right now. The way he speaks about diversity, being opened and accept people. He is so modest and as he said, "humanitarian". I love him! When people ask me in UK from which country I am, I always reply..."I am from the Universe, just landed here, just a speck of dust". Oh my, how can you not just love, love, love Salvador. I wouldn't care one iota, if he couldn't sing a note, which he can AND does beautifully, but his heart, his humanity, his message in his words is as beautiful as his voice. I am Canadian and until this Eurovision truly had never heard of him before, but my gosh, there is just nothing but good that I can wish for him and so I just want to say it is great news that he qualified and I do wish both Salvador and Portugal all the very best in the finals this year! I also heard he is dealing with some sort of health issues, so I want to wish him the best for his future health needs.

Salvador is sooo sweet! I'm glad we get to see more and more his personality..not just 'the fragile man singing a sad jazzy song'. You can tell he is ENJOYING this interview also unlike other interviews.
