These are my favourite kind of details. I enjoy seeing old cars saved. It’s way better for the environment to keep existing products going for as long as possible. Well done, the end result looks great

I think you're the best. Let's save more old cars and stop making new ones. Let's be like Cuba. They survive ok.
@petewatson9866 Жыл бұрын
That’s a stupid thing to say let’s be like Cuba. Do you think Cubans want to live like that, a proud nation but still getting held back by the missile crisis of the 1960’s
@pacman7959 Жыл бұрын

All I was saying was that we live in a throwaway first-world society, some of us. Can't believe that this Fiesta was going to be scrapped. If we look after our old cars and service them, they should last for years.

Don't you put something on the headlights to protect them from UV? I've found they go milky again within a few weeks without it.

@barrymatthews2606 Жыл бұрын
Hi when you respray the wheels, do you do respray the other side of the wheels, as iv watched every eheel been done , but never seen anyone do the other side. And also when engine cleaning is it normally advised to cover surtain parts of the electrics? As some times this can cause a few issues when restarting.?
@ACCORDriver_NL Жыл бұрын
Not giving the headlights a good layer of protection after polising, will result in faded haedlights again in a couple of months ... You can ceramic coat them, so the plastic will keep clean and fresh for longer, but I really prefer to use a 2K clear after sanding.

@generalt1090 Жыл бұрын
Lovely job as usual…! What do you do with the back of the wheels when refurbishing??
@everydaydetailing6449 Жыл бұрын
To be honest there are types of refurb, full strip down tyre removed, chemically stripped! and the whole wheel painted, which is by far the better job! However most traders opt for the cheaper option of just repainting the face! Some of these older cars, the rear of the wheel's are still left in primer, they only painted the face from factory!
@generalt1090 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for coming back ! I assumed the same! Speed is of the essence here! Thanks again! It’s great to see you back again!

Getting the wheels powder coated would have been better. Tyres off, acid stripped, sanded smooth and powdered. Not very expensive and makes the wheels last much longer and look amazing. It’s the first thing a lot of second had dealers do to make a car look better so they can charge a lot more for it.

OR the customer has chosen to have them re-painted in silver after all its their car and their choice, not your or mine ;) Why A: It's a cheaper option. B: will last longer as polished wheels will fester and peel again quicker If you want to see a video of me re-polishing a diamond cut wheel see the link below kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYbTnJuga5yegtE
