My dad recently purchased a 2000 Fiat Punto 1.2 ELX, which has a couple of flaws. Having watched your videos, my dad and I have learned new ways to repair a couple of miscellaneous and more complicated problems on the car, without having to go to a service shop. We both like watching your videos. Keep up with the good work. Greetings from Greece.

Hi Rob thanks for taking the time to explain the categories to us. When your not immersed in this line of work we don’t regularly see different types of car damage and the category they sit in. Really interesting. Thanks 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🏴

No-one but yourselves gives such an interesting and insightful content, maybe because garages don`t want you to know what goes on in the background in case you might encroach on their territory and do these jobs yourselves, yes? I`m too old to tackle what I used to but I still appreciate what you show us, you are the best lads!!!

Rob I do enjoy all of the Fiat 500 videos its never boring as it is my favourite little car of all times on the other hand the little reflection about the last part where you stated all the salvage categories, people are little bit lazy asking about this, all it takes is just type it all in Google that’s what I did

had a bump in me v50 v fiesta, my car is now an N, cos value of repair was more than its value, bought it back for £166....went on e bay got all replacement parts quarter of the price, it even passed mot the way it was before new parts, mind i think fiesta may have been an S, i drove home they got a lift, not fancy a V50 on the show, and ive never missed an episode, great stuff

Had a accident in my Fiesta about 2 years back now, was already a Cat C so insurance didn't want to touch it. Replaced it and had it sitting on the drive for about 6 months till we found a subframe which was somewhat nearby. Got luck in all with it £80 for a front subframe, steering rack and struts with springs, which I needed as turned out in the end one strut was bent and the other spring snapped when we moved it on the drive. Worst part was the alloy price which looked exactly like that rear one. Still made an decent profit when I sold it on. Gotta say loving watching these, making me want to get on with my City x now.

Your right about insurance assessors, we rarely see any in our work (body shop) our estimators send the images and parts prices to the insurance company and yeah, basically the insurance company's write them off based on that, I'm currently driving a cat n Astra Sri on a 66 plate that was humped up the arse, sledge hammered the back panel out, dressed down the boot floor, dressed up the edge of the tailgate and put a second hand bumper on it, cracking car for a fraction of the price of a similar model on the forecourt 😉

One of the best matey it covered a lot... very informative and practical ...but missing a "waffle"...speaking of which ever thought of a tee shirt with the slogan "less of the waffle" on the front and "I'm getting on with it" on the back?...a bit of fun and might increase the merch sales?...if you sell ten can I have a free one?...keep up the good work guys 👍
