Hi Rob - I like your way of thinking - You show great business sense and thanks for sharing it with us. The mini looks a great little car and you bought it for a good price - Also it is very handy you having your recovery truck - I know "Cars for Paul" always says how much the delivery charges are. Please keep the videos coming they are brilliant. Kind regards Clay.
@sruk5 жыл бұрын
Clay Walker delivery from copart to me is about £47 but then you don’t get charge a load fee so it works out about £33 so I could survive without the truck 👍

Just got the Mrs a Smart FourTwo as a runaround in the UK, reckon I might give it a go with one of them when I move back. The ones we looked at,, around the £1500 to £1800 mark, didn't seem to hang around on the market for too long. Not sure if you remember, or even knew of, the Erith Trade Centre years back, but his business model seemed to be to buy the motors from Belmont Auctions in Charlton and just stick em up for a couple of hundred quid more than he paid, without even cleaning em. We all used to get our motors from him. Cheers for another great video mate, really do enjoy them

This is why I sub'd to your channel, straight to the point up front honesty, no bullshit and really interesting content. Copart say it'll be worth this when done and then the insurance company will say something waaaay lower when you insure it.....a car has so many values lol, but only one counts and thats what someone is willing to pay for it!

Subscribed to your channel Rob. Very informative for a beginner like me. I have been looking at doing this for a while and recently picked up a Peugeot 207 1.4 2006 cat n with 10 months MOT for £280 to use as a runaround, it needed a front bumper headlight wing and wing mirror, I struck lucky finding all the parts in exact colour match for a bargain price of £65. I have definitely been bitten by the salvage bug. Now looking for another project.

Quick question for you about the auction places. So I used to look a lot at the vehicles online auctions and they all have different categories. I'm just a diy guy and have little knowledge on any of this sort of stuff but really enjoy. watching this channel.I just would like to know about the category x and uncategorized etc. What is best avoided and what would be a good choice for starters.interested in small vehicles not for profit but purely for learning. Any info is much appreciated.

Mate you are absolutely brilliant, you have the skill and the know how to make it work including understanding the bigger picture... it’s like buying the car for 1p but having £699.99 in fees. You see that in reality it’s a £700 car where others think you are being robbed for the £699.99 😂😂 Classic eBay tactic. Crack on mate and please start ignoring the daft comments as they are being made by people who are bereft of any clue! Love the videos, from someone who does not buy, sell or repair cars but is just interested in your content 👍👍

Good Evening. Thank you for your videos, they are inspiring and educational. Regards to this video. once you repaired the vehicle whats the rules around selling the vehicle afterwards. Does the vehicle have to stay at the same category in what you bought it from auction house or can you up date category so its fit for purpose?

As you mentioned on that 2009 Ford Fiesta Style with 69k N catagory, anything above £700-800 imo would be little profit as you mentioned If its recorded then down goes the value. and you can buy a them for around £1600 - £1900 with a clean title depending on where you look. Cheapest ive seen is £1,700 And when you add in the Mot, picking it up, fuel etc. If your doing it your self materials, sandpaper paint etc and thats gonna quick rack up. I got a little dent in my back arch majority is paint taken off.... wanted £800 but could be more. I cant see my self doing all this with very little profit Which i gotta admit you have a good gasp on costs and your total end costs. You got some good pick ups but with the work that Fiesta needed i can see it only being used as a car and being sold with a description of "Used as run around, 10 years old, bound to have some marks.. dont be expecting showroom qaulity "

Hi mate. If you buy a cat X which has its vin cut out of the chassis how would you go about sorting that?
