Just a thought on the civic dying again, did you get much water in the alternator when you water blasted the engine? I've had the exact same symptoms of the car braking up then not starting again when I've had alternators go bad in b and d series civics over the years

Swap out the main relay . There could be a short in it causing your issue with the eg not wanting to start randomly

Agree with the potential main relay issue. These tend to fail when it gets hot then work for a while until it doesn’t. Swap the main relay from the crashed eg and see if that works. If both are failing, there is a conversion harness for a regular relay.

You may have checked them already but check the spark plugs for your ignition coil issue. If a spark plug is going bad/already is bad then it can affect the ignition coil as well.

Yeah bro definitely think something in the spark system must’ve gone bad to repeatedly kill a coil… best bet probably to revamp the whole ignition system I think 😅

The engine is at an angle. Hasport makes a conversion mount for an automatic chassis to manual transmission swap

The transmission post mount bracket is not correct, the engine sits crooked, you need to do the same thing you did with the shifter plate

Ignition systems go bad on them as the parts are rolling on 30 years of age😅 check leads and plugs are ok before dizzy. You can buy rebuild kits online for the honda dizzy. A regular strip and clean of the components help with the lifespan too. Always carry a good spare dizzy and main relay if your driving an old honda🙂👍

diagnosing electrics can be a pain in the backside. somethings faulty for sure if your coil has blown again. might need a full go over of the leads, plugs, etc.
