I see I'm not the only one using my dent ball box as a weight while working on trombone slides :) Great salvaging, as usual !

I could probably go on an extended rant about how some professions are way over paid, while others are way under appreciated and underpaid. Several things in this video are of the latter, not the former! There isn't anything on page 372 (or any of the other pages) of the 'How to repair trombone slides' manual that tells you how to do some of this stuff! I guess the consolation is that doing something you love and are passionate about is priceless. #MoneyCantBuyMeLove

Hello Wes, I would like very much to send an old trombone to you for some restoration work. This trombone has more sentimental worth than it has in actual value. My Mother & Father bought it originally for my older brother in 1961 from Sears Roebuck for the start of his 5th grade year in school. I also played this same horn 4 years later in 1965 for my 5th grade year to eighth grade. Then I switched to Tuba for 9th to 12th. I have had it all these years. It currently is nothing more than a wall hanger, but I would like to get it restored to playing condition & visual condition with all of the dents taken out & the slide restored to first rate condition. I’m not looking to have it relacquered. I want to have the original patina as it is, but all of the dents must be removed. The original mouthpiece will have to have some dent removal & straightening. It will also have to be replated with silver. The slide is in rough condition as there is some red rot at the end of the inner slide that will have to be addressed. I want it restored to give back to my older brother on September 25th for his birthday. I was hoping you could make a video of its restoration so I can share that with him to. I’ve watched many of your videos & I’m convinced you’re the guy I need. Can you tell me how to get in touch with you?
