I never get tired of watching the film, it was my first when I was 3 y.o. used to watch it with mom, now all alone but it never fails making me happier. The sound of music (not only the movie! :D) actually fills any living creature's heart with emotion!

You're so lucky to visit Salzburg..it will always be one of my dream destinations because i Love the Sound Of Music❤ there's one misconception people have with one of the locations in the movie though...the scene where they fall into the river next to the two Lion statues...was actually not filmed at that spot.😀 i can let you know exactly where it was shot😊

Hello friend! Could you help me? I was in Salzburg last year. I couldn't find the yellow house, but I knew the Hellbrunn Palace and the gazebo. Where is the captain's house, please? Greetings from Rio de Janeiro!!

Hiya. I walked it from Hellbrunn to the Yellow house. If you walk back to Saltzburg but instead of walking on the main road, it runs parallel to the main road on the right. It's about a mile. I actually walked past the house and went too far and asked someone when I reached the end of the road because the house looks similar to the others on that road and I had walked past it. It's not until you stand outside it that you recognise it. Once you find it though you definitely know because it hasn't changed.

I wish in a way they could have used the Real House that the Von Trapps actually lived in. I mean the house they used in filming, was not the real house, i heard they converted the real house into a bed and breakfast

would had been awesome to see these scenes with the actual movie mixed together like a before and after. And would had been awesome to see the location towards the end of the movie when they are doing the concert. But thanks for the footage.

I'm not sure, I didn't go in any of them. The one by the lake is a Hotel. The one that is the front of the house in the movie was some sort of Mozart music academy if I remember correctly.

Your swiveling round with your camera too much makes me light headed. You have gorn all that way from Birmingham to do a bad job. You are more worried about what other tourists will make/think of you? A shame on such a good subject as the Von Trapp history and the Sound of Music film.
