If the only way for a program to escape is by using Kevin’s disc (which he exclusively possesses), then why did he need to make the portal so far away? How did he get anything done in the Grid if it only stayed open for like 10 hours and he had to spend hours just getting to it? How did nobody ever amass a large enough offensive at the portal to usurp his disc and use it to pass through?

@@KizaruB I can answer all of that. The portal being far away, its just plot. For your next question, Flynn couldn't get shit done which is why he created Clu to help him work when he wasn't around. For your last question, Flynn is God to the programs, why would you try to usurp God when he has been nothing but good and benevolent to you?

This was such an underrated movie! I'm not sure what critics wanted, but for me, an avid TRON fanatic, I fell in love with this movie! I admit, I tried too hard upon first viewing of the film to compare it to the original, and that was wrong. When I subsequently watched it WITHOUT trying to make every little comparison, I found a very fun, visually stunning, and musically fantastic movie! The acting was far better as well! And oh, I LOOOOOOVE Olivia Wilde as Quorra! Great character played by a talented and beautiful actress! Garrett Hedlund and Jeff Bridges were perfect on screen as father and son. And the somewhat minor part, but still excellent character was that of Michael Sheen as Castor! Completely stole the scenes he was in and made that character, though flawed and eventually derezzed, totally memorable and one of Legacy's best characters! I so badly want Disney to make TRON 3, but alas, this IS Disney we are talking about, so any chance of that is null and void.
@grimmjowespada24224 жыл бұрын
Of course, he was underestimated, we usually underestimate what we have because we have seen similar movies hundreds of times in retrospect and the changes that have taken place this movie is even better than on the day of its premiere. It was created at a time when Disney and other film studios did not ruin all movies with the propaganda we know today.

It's very simple. Just re-release it in Imax again. No need to make another. They nailed it big time with this. You couldn't ask for better games or bikes, and this is the best Imax experience I ever had, including Blade 2049 and Avatar.

One thing I think this movie would’ve benefitted from is having Sam Flynn explore the grid on his own. Imagine seeing every weird and intricate part of the amazing world of Tron from an outsiders perspective it would’ve really opened up endless possibilities and destinations for the story to arrive to. I would’ve liked to have seen the resistance Kevin Flynn was talking about maybe Sam could’ve bumped into them along his journey in the grid and, then at the end of the movie he could’ve found his father. All I’m saying is I would’ve liked to explore more of the grid than we originally got to. I still like the movie though, it would’ve significantly benefitted from a series instead.
@zvproduction47403 жыл бұрын
the "exploring" part would make the movie too similar to the first movie and tron does have a series called Tron: Uprising, the events of the series is set between the first & the second movie
@adaptivelearner61623 жыл бұрын
@@zvproduction4740 I know but, Tron uprising ended on a cliff hanger so we're left unfulfilled. Without a proper ending that would see exactly how Tron became Rinzler and weather Beck survived or not. So we do need a new series regardless but, what I meant was a series where we explore the grid from Sam Flynn's perspective a 10 episode series would suffice and as for being similar to the original movie I highly doubt that would be the case as it was releaded in 1982 which was 28 years before Tron legacy and now 38 years since it's 2020 I imagine they can do a lot more with the story now.

The earth has multiple layer's of miraculous event's, these hand's of those divine's control the inner gears of these layers we know as universal alignment's of mass and energy, This allow's for very strange thing's to occur....a paranormal form that bend both space and time on earth. It is a power that need's to be wielded like a soft fabric...very delicate in every number and calculation, Yet vast and infanous in it's sum's...and very very hidden to shield eye's from it's painful views. In the end. All thing's will be revealed. If dirt were were transparent....could you face the observance of the Earth's core beneath your feet? I have seen this as a Well.! Would you want to see that far through wall's? Can you even imagine if this were to be revealed to all men at once? The pandamonium that would ensue. A different atomic property that is locked behind the key's of angelic beings and their mighty waves. In the beginning the earth was like a black sphere of void. This is his realm.... @samuelbishop33163 жыл бұрын
They stay programs the same way humans stay human inside the grid. The issue is CLU sees humanity as an imperfection, meaning he would use the Grid's population to war against earth amd shape the universe as he sees fit. Should he get his way.

A millicycle is 8 hours. 8000 hours per cycle. That's 333.34 days per cycle. Flynn has been trapped in the digital world for "thousands (note the plural there) of cycles", according to Quorra during the dinner scene. Assuming that means only 2000 cycles, Flynn has been trapped in the digital world for what equates to over 660,000 days, or exactly 1,825.23 years.

Cause Tron Legacy did it better
@Tobytyty1014 жыл бұрын
It's probably because this movie only had one plotline to follow. TLJ had to deal with multiple people in multiple situations because of the sheer amount of characters and it became a bit convoluted. I loved TLJ and this film. I think the idea of a hero icon showing a lot of vulnerability and hopelessness is a really good idea.
@rayo146-x8x4 жыл бұрын
@@Tobytyty101 It's just a matter of making it believable. RJ had the right idea in mind, but the explanation that goes to it sorta assassinates the character. I too like the idea of the hopeless aged hero too, but not at the expense of who they were when we last left off. After all, if Luke was willing to forgive Anakin, who has slaughtered children and been (reluctantly) complicit in the destruction of a planet, why wouldn't he do the same for his nephew?
@Tobytyty1014 жыл бұрын
@@rayo146-x8x I see your point. I liked how Legacy did it a bit better than TLJ. My defense of the matter is that Luke, even after saying countess times that he would not fight Vader, still nearly killed him out of instinct when he threatened Leia. Luke saw that in Ben because Snoke manipulated his thoughts. He would undo every single thing Luke fought for, murder his family, and let the Dark Side rise again. Out of pure instinct, just as he did with Vader, he thought he could put an end to it all, and instantly regretted it, but it was too late. For me it works but I can see why it doesn't for others. I found some things Rian did in that movie to be a bit off but for me the whole Luke thing worked. Once again I agree that Kosinski and the writers pulled it off better in Legacy though. Just my opinion.

@ryanorr46264 жыл бұрын
Even if that's true, the issue isn't that he loses, it's how many people die before he does. That would sit squarely on your head if you don't attempt what you know will prevent it.

I don’t even think those ships could run in the real world. The Grid machines don’t abide by Newtonian and Euclidean rules like the real world. Either Clu or the writers didn’t take that into consideration.
@nonamechong24303 жыл бұрын
I think that the reason Kevin Flynn was afraid if Clu enter the real world, he will impose his perfect ideology and become a dictator like Hitler. Our real world has been more interconnected with technology and many real world weapons have imbued with network and cyber technology. Since Clu was a strategist and a copy of younger flynn, who was a programmer , it can be assumed that Clu can manipulated the network into his advantage and plan a worldwide invasion. Imagine like War Games.

The problem with Tron is that its whole universe is not as fleshed out like say Star Wars or something similar? Like what would've happened if the basics, like Clue and his army, did get through the portal. How would they manifest in our world? If Sam bleeds in the digital world then would the basics derezz in the 'real' world? What would become of their machines and weapons? How would they be powered? None of this is even explored.

Well, if the third movie is green lit and not cancelled, we can get a chance to see it fleshed out. Same goes to Tron Uprising. Star Wars has its whole universe expanded due it has countless media like spin offs,novels, cartoons,comics, tv shows etc. Tron only has limited media to go on.
