Sam and Jesse's Tips 1. If you've got a good/funny scene that's working- make it longer. 2. If you need a good line, write 10. 3. Target the people involved in the shows you love. 4. Start with episode 3 (not the 'how they met' episode) 5. Casting is crucial. 6. Dramatic plot with funny characters means it should work as a comedy. 7. Talk your plot through with someone else. 8. Hear your script read aloud early on (even when it feels Too early) 9. Know your tone (what show is it like? what actors are my characters like? etc.) 10. Surprise = funny

Whoever edited this video did a masterful job. Videos of live events like this always have way too much filler, audience laughter, awkward pauses and so on. But this video moves along in such a crisp way from question to question and yet not a single cut feels jarring. Amazing work!

This was a great interview - these live interviews normally suck but this was fun and helpful.

I'm here cause of that also..surely it can't be him.

@@rdellw2 I really hope not because Peep Show was (atm still is) my comfort show... but there's far to many hints and easter eggs for me, and having seen Peep Show hundred and hundreds of times to many things made my ears prick up. When seeing the scene where Darrien danced in front of a drugged Gadd... the filming of it, the Rainbow Rythms music and Jeremy dance ... I literally said out loud to my girlfriend "this is like a scene from Peep Show".

I thought it was him until I read about Gary Reich.
@RobertBoyle113 ай бұрын
@gawi4405 Apparently it's definitely not Gary Reich, I don't know why, can't remember if Gadd has openly said it's not Reich, as for Bain... his dancing was very rainbow rhythms, and there are a few hints in the show that make me think that together they're too much of a coincidence to not be deliberate
@firehot0062 ай бұрын
@@RobertBoyle11 I'm also here from going down a rabbit hole. Sam Bain has publicly stated that he has never met Richard Gadd, meanwhile it's public knowledge that Gary Reich directed Gadd's Edinburgh show 'Cheese and Crackwh*res'. Make of that what you will. I think Gadd threw in a bunch of Peep Show references as misdirection.
