OK, I believe it -- that someone requested a lesson on the wonderful song. Sure, why not? Then again, if I could sing the sweet bejeezus out of the song the way you do, I'd sing it every chance i got, request or no.

I really enjoy it when you teach these old school soul songs... I enjoy all your songs, but those in particular... Picked up a tip that you didn't mention, and thank you for it... With the Fmaj, covering the G,B,E with your fore finger seems so much easier than just covering the B,E... It is a real help... Thanks again for the video, Brother!!!!

That's true, best of all, you can easily turn it minor if you hold down all three. Great tip!

I remember years ago when the Jerry Garcia Band did their debut performance of Sam Cookes “Wonderful World”. We all freaked out. It was great they paid homage to Cooke. Then years later they started playing Louis Armstrong completely different but identically titled song. Jerry had become a crooner. Great memories.

nice tutorial man but whats the point in using the number system on the intro then reverting back to letters on the verse and chorus, although its a very easy lesson. you could avoid stuff like that to save any confusion
@JayJay-pm9ib6 жыл бұрын
also singing along to the part that youre playing helps
@swiftlessons6 жыл бұрын
Hey Jay, thanks, glad you're enjoying the lesson. Referring to the progression first by letter note names, then by their interval number was to help students draw the connection. My goal is to challenge everyone to understand and make use of music theory, and sometimes confusion is a healthy step in that process. I'm focusing on this a bit extra at the moment, because I've been posting a lot of composition tutorials. Have fun!

Nice one Rob. Can u pls explain why there are 4 beats in a bar in this song as u said? I thought it's 6/8
@swiftlessons6 жыл бұрын
Hey Vasant, I’m counting it in four four, but giving it a standard blues triplet feel. I suppose you could count it in 3/4 time, but it’s much more comfortable to count it in 4/4 time with accents on beats 2 & 4.
