Actually Sam Giancana was NEVER " The most powerful mob boss in America". Tony Accardo and Paul Ricca were both the real bosses of the Chicago Outfit. That is why Tony Accardo had Giancana killed after he disobeyed Accardo's orders. Giancana was never more than a frontrunner in the Chicago Mob.
