Right, the reason Jamie was intrigued by her was her strong will and of course being attracted to her. The interviewer is super! No other romance on tv brought it to such a real state. Sam looks absolutely to die for! His hair looks terrific. He was casted perfectly..."what was the question"...he is so real!

Both Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan are *such* gracious interviewees. The fact that they're both so attractive AND have such convincing chemistry is fabulous for we fans, and the quality of the shows speaks both to their skills as actors, the excellent casting decisions and the amazing writing, directing and producing on 'Outlander'. It really feels like this show is a once-in-a-blue-moon magical gift to the fans of the books; I can't imagine how thrilled Diana Gabaldon is to see her pages come to life thanks to this pair as well as all the cast and crew. Yes, he does seem like a very polite man. Probably why we are all so drawn in. If they don't truly feel drawn to each other in real life, they are the best actors that ever lived. I mean, I guess it's possible, but they sure make it real.

I’m glad she focused on the intimacy rather than the mere act of sex between the characters. Because really... it is the genuine intimacy that they project that really captivates viewers. Every trifle little mannerisms blurs the line for viewers, not knowing when Sam/Cait ends and where Jamie/Claire begins. Their chemistry really is a rare sight to behold in this day and age.

I have seen lots of actors desire on film, but that alone is empty, hollow, or just plain bad acting. Sam is a great actor, equal to Cait; and they make it look effortless.

Terrific, thoughtful interview. Sam should just take the credit: he and Caitriona are better than most actors when it comes down to acting as if they are attracted to their counterpart and slowly becoming fond and falling for each other, showing such raw emotion so convincingly well. Both interviewer and interviewee gave the subject matter the respect the writer and fans deserve. Thank you!

This interview is really good in that the interviewer is not dribbling about how handsome Jamie is and how beautiful Claire is and how real their screen chemistry looks and are they really a couple off screen? (Embarrassing!) There are good solid probing questions that are not based on astetics. Nice to see these in depth questions asked.

It's because it was not sex it was love, & this is what come out, to me it was clean & loving a real couple in theirs intimacy, I think & this is only my opinion, I think the Author of the book is a very dignified person who see real love like a beautiful act, perhaps it stem from her own personel love life & upbringing??? She always talk about him with the best words, she admires him, she tells on and on that he is a wonderful and respectful actor, she likes the way he talks her word from the book, she always stands for him concerning the bullying that he had suffered, etc. I believe that this happens because he is so good on bringing in life the figure that she created based on her husband. I think she adores him!!! She feels lucky that they 've hired Sam for playing Jamie..

Thank you for this interview. I've recently started watching & was in search of info on the actors. The vast majority of them are in the daytime talk show catagory with middle age housewives drooling & giggling like school girls. The writing, costumes, photography & acting are superb. The debt of skill it takes to address the multitude of issues has truly been refreshing & honest. I look forward to the next season & wish these two actors (and cast) the very best!! 😃

Watching and analyzing the sex scenes between Jaime and Claire made me realized the importance of openness and honesty during sexual intimacy between husbands and wives. It not only strengthens the bonds but also the love between these coupling individuals. The sexual gratification achieve thru spontaneous and oftentimes simultaneous climax by both partners made them to become glued with each other. I think Claire has achieved far better sexual gratification from Jaime than from Frank. This aspect of their relationship is one of the main reasons that made her choose Jaime from Frank. Despite the insecurity and danger with being with Jaime in the 18th century Scotland, Claire has chosen to be with Jaime because of the intense sexual gratification that he gives her during their lovemaking.

I do find it hilarious that journalist ask deep questions about the characters that they expect the actors to understand. Surely, they should ask these questions of the author?

Hilarious? Why? The actors have to deal with several versions of their characters, not just that of the author. There are screenwriters, after all, and there is a showrunner, and there are producers, and there is a director, and they do all actually consult with the actors themselves in (re)creating those characters. Remember that this is an adaptation...not a carbon copy.

Not at all, Christine. Adaptations are tricky wee beasties! Just ask Diana Gabaldon, who had to write/adapt an episode (Journeycake) in season 5. In interviews she admits how difficult it is to adapt one's own work, so you can imagine how hard it is for the screenwriters to chose between fidelity to the text and fidelity to the spirit of the text. But I confess I saw the series before I started reading the books (only in Book 2 now!) and I appreciate even more what a monumental task this is.

M T Meyer his hair is short in the beginning, because although it doesn’t tell about it in the show, he has just recovered from a serious head wound where his head had to be shaved, and it is just growing back out. All the men wore there hair long then.

tsn hal he was hit ambushed from behind with an axe. He took quite a while to recover. He lost his eyesight for a while at first and had terrible headaches. His only permanent damage was that he could no longer hear melodies in music. 😞 He always suspected the one who did it was Dougal, and later he admitted it was him.

As cenas de sexo entre Claire e Jaime são intensas,lindas e nada de hot. Um se entrega ao outro com amor e ternura. Jaime comenta que sempre deseja cada vez mais Claire. E que Claire corresponde sempre. Jaime que como Claire está sempre pronta para fazer amor com Ele, mesmo ele a acordando para o sexo, ela nunca se nega pra ele. Jaime acha isso peculiar nela. Ela está sempre pronta para transar com Ele Jaime. Ele adora isso nela. É o que o faz ama-la mais ainda. Só que ele comenta que ela não é igual a outras mulheres. Ele disse que como ela é de descendencia francesa ,é a explicação por ela ser assim. Jaime disse que viu na França mulheres como ela. Já nascem prontas para fazer amor. Yes, I've read the books and yes, I agree, she does have a beautiful body. I'm just pointing out that the nudity on screen is a bit overdone. Makes things a little awkward when I've tried to get my mother, aunts and even Grandma to watch the series. I've lent my books out and they were fans of the written word. Watching it though... Not so much.
