Charls said the falling out was related to the cancellation of World Peace. He felt Sam blew up the good thing they had going with Adult Swim, (as Mike Lazzo had said they would make 100 episodes and that they were the next Tim and Eric) that he could've handled the Buzzfeed interview more seriously, and that it was selfish of him to torpedo the whole show and throw it all away just for an opportunity to troll that Joe whatever his name is from Buzzfeed, record it and post it as a way to grandstand and make himself the center of attention in that whole controversy.

Kind of wish you covered The Power of Yellow before MDE as that was his RISD thesis and the proto MDE to a lot of fans. In fact that troupe did the original Dr. Manslave which MDE would adapt and perfect in their opus. Great video. Even though I think Sam is very smart and funny, his perspective seems pretty distorted and lacking emotional intelligence and control- his comedy mirrors that for me, making it difficult to watch. Sometimes he seems to struggle to make a point with his work aside from being edgy. He doesn't really understand the world as well as he sometimes thinks he does, but honestly, if he went to therapy I think he could be extremely successful. I've still been watching fishtank s2 daily and, again, find him very funny but cant say I'd want to know him. This was an enjoyable watch! The editing stands out as clean and relevant.

@AnomalyAnalysis Жыл бұрын
Seems that from some other comments here, they mentioned how it was mostly about how Sam handled the world peace cancelation and the more aggro approach to that buzzfeed interview. I'm not too sure how aware Nick or Charls are of these accusations. They're either unaware or most likely dismissed anyone that might have brought it up.
@لمعان-ض9ع Жыл бұрын
@@AnomalyAnalysisNone of that nonsense has do with Charls cutting ties with Sam. They did a christmas livestream together 3 weeks after the cancellation and were on cordial terms up until around late 2017. Charls cut ties with Sam because Sam wouldn’t sign off on Automile, which was a spin-off show in the works by Adult Swim, featuring Charls and Nick. Because Sam was tangentially involved in the idea of the show, he had to sign off on the show to allow it to be greenlit, and he didn’t. There’s an entire clip about this. Charls never explictly said anything about Sam being culpable for WP’s cancellation, or saying that Sam’s antics was the reason for him cutting ties with Sam. It’s all made-up bullshit.
@nunavut928110 ай бұрын
@@لمعان-ض9ع When that happened Charls felt like Sam was torpedoing his and others shots at the mainstream so that they would have no other options than continuing to work with him. And Charls didn't have savings or family wealth to fall back on like Sam did and felt like Sam was using his financial insecurity to manipulate him. Charls saw World Peace as his big break after years of hard work and poverty vs Sam never saw it as something sustainable.

@noonehere2651 There ain’t enough evidence dumbass, its all allegations. What if someone took a picture with you and then made a bunch of fake text message screenshots of you and claimed that you’re a pedo? How would you feel? If there was legitimate evidence of Sam been a pedo, along with liking things up his butt too apparently, I would probably not be much of a fan of him anymore. Look at things objectively, don’t be a mindless hater or lover. And at the moment everyone lacks enough evidence to call him anything, so you can hate his content or political views all you want but there isn’t any point on calling him a p3d0.

This was well prepared, I think if there's one real takeaway from all of this is that through and through he has "maintained his bit." Even when things are so obviously getting out of control, his dedication to said bit certainly applies unwanted pressure on himself, but his character remained unchanged. Through it all he and his crew continued working diligently. In my opinion, as a passive fan and advocate of cringg free speech; watching this story continue to be written is delightfully inspiring.
