As someone who has boxed a very long time recreationally with a trainer who has trained two former world champions and was the manager for another one… The “pro” boxing trainer has no idea what he’s talking about. Ian didn’t even give Sam a chance, yeah he had this obscure candyman character but you can tell he was taking it seriously, and he took it VERY seriously once it was time to actually fight, Ian used his off-brandness as an excuse, but if he would’ve been in the Creator Clash, I know for a fact he would’ve abided by the ad-friendly bullshit out of respect of the sport and the chance to show his stripes in front of that many people and even Ian as well that he can actually be a great addition to the fight. You can tell 90% of Sam’s off-colorness is due to how he’s perceived (such as how many people told Harley that he might jump him or train him wrong) so when it comes to the general public, of course he’s gonna put on a show for reactions but when it came down to actually training Harley, and his own fight, he took it 100% serious and focused on doing it right, all the negativity against him is what others think of him. Sam has offensive jokes, the preconceived notion that he’s a white supremacist or alt-right has always been others’ opinions and it’s always been others’ perception that view him a certain way, which is why he’s so unpredictable, they don’t want to accept that he can be a normal person who takes shit serious and has a rational mindset, respect to Sam for powering through all the shitty hate and attempts to tear down his character, he beat the odds and not only helped Harley win, but won his own fight and did everything he said he would. Sorry for the big paragraph but it takes a lot to put it into perspective that he’s a real one, regardless of how they treat him
